I'm British, I live in London, I hate trains, but I love Kalimari Desert, it's one of my favourite N64 tracks behind Bowser's Castle (although it ranks only middling compared to newer Mario Kart courses).
I like trains. But I dislike Kalamari Desert. Kinda mid, boring, and repetitive. Super Bell Subway is the better train course and is in my top 20 courses of all time. It’s detailed, fast-paced, challenging, it has amazing music, and when you make a good use of the split paths, it becomes even more fun.
One thing I think they could've done with Luigi Raceway is added a glider section at the end of the bleachers so that you could glide at the start of the second lap
Suggestion: watch “Albert Boris” and his cup ranking videos. Where he ranks the cups from each game. He does talk about each track but he mainly ranks the overall cup. Has a lot of hot takes 💛
I only remember the existence of 7's Nitro selection because of 8D. They did give 6 of the 7 3DS tracks they selected for 8D/BCP a glow-up. Except for Toad Circuit, why the piss did they bring back that course and make it look worse?
Worst part is that they could have used the Wii pandering to bring us Wii Toad's Factory as the 50th course. Instead, they use that for SNES Mario Circuit 3, AGAIN!
I will stand firm on my love for DK Pass!!!! I really don't have a legit reason for having a high opinion on it other than I really liked it when I was a kid and will forever have a soft spot for it. The winding turns going up the hill feel nice to slalem through, along with avoiding the big F off snowballs giving a little challenge and the special item box hidden at the top for a rewarding short cut is a really strong start. I will admit the next section is boring, just gently going down a hill with nothing special happening. But the ending dodging the snowmen on the final turn is a victim to the design creep of morden Mario Kart games, I feel the snowmen are the first challenge with it's own risk reward of sneaking around the snowman nearest to the wall and other racers trying the screw you over on the final turn of the track; those final lap shenanigans on the final turns of tracks will always bring memorable moments in any good Mario Kart track. I understand DK Pass will never sit at the big boys table with the upper tiers, but I always feel like DK Pass gets dunked on as the worst DK mountain/snowy themed tracks but I WANT LIL BRO TO HAVE A CHANCE!! LET HIM COOK!! Anyways good video as always Musty, thank you for coming to my ted talk :)
Honestly, disagreed with the view on DK jungle until you brought up what it really could've been. Honestly they did play it relatively safe compared to all the other amazing themes the DK course could've had, personally I think ruins or the caves would've been great choices as neither are really ever done in MK, and the dk cave theme would've gone so hard with all the decorative mushrooms, crystals, and incorporation the mole train or bats as obstacles. Another idea I had is that they could've integrated the golden temple better and make you travel to the actual golden temple level, ramping off fruits or avoiding the various enemies, turning it into a 3 part track instead of 3 laps. Truly missed opportunity
Forgot I said this a while back. Still a great channel except that one video you where critized Demeech for clickbait, and your title is that "he hates the game" when he talks about a few things he dislikes lol. You're naturally funny though

All I see in this course is, “When has Bowser and a cyberpunk-esque city ever mix and not feel awkward at the same time?” It is not bad or good, it just feels mid to me. Had it been renamed to E Gadd City, it would at least make some sense. The only memorable time I had in this course is when I sniped my friend in a splitscreen 4-player match at the final turn. Otherwise, it is whatever.
