I'd sign Kane to a 3 yr deal at $ 2 million a yr, he can help teach these young kid's the Ropes of playing in the playoffs and help them at every aspect of the game, so yes why not give him another shot and see what he brings to the Rangers.

For everyone downplaying Kane let me say this.... He has averaged a goal a game in all his playoff games and EVEN with a fucked up hip he almost averaged a point a game in the devil series we lost. He has a lot to give and wherever he ends up that team will greatly benefit. He's what the rangers need in the top 6.

I just don't think he can contribute what we need. We need speed and size. For a cheap 3rd line, maybe? The only issue is that he isn't built to be on a checking line.

@@wilburwilson2486 the articles I saw on Tarasenko at the March 2024 deadline said he did not want to return and chose to go to FLA instead
Kane also had a chance to go back to NYR and went to DET instead after the surgery as an UFA for 2.75m$ in a 1 year contract
Vlad wanted to be here, his first agent that he fired screwed that up.
My money is on Kane especially since he feels there is something to prove.
The last thing we need is Kane. We need physicality and skill not just washed up skill
Edit: all the players who had the same surgery as Kane didn’t even last like 2/3 years after. He’ll be lucky to make it half a season in 2025. Guarantee. Hip arthroscopy is no joke.

Kane might help the power play (like Bobby Rousseau when he came over from the Canadians) but, I would be leery of his health issues.
Too old, slower than 5-6 years ago, and too small.
Kane is not what the Rangers need. It's a young man's game. Bring up youth, trade for more prospects, and add size and grit for the playoffs.
