My guess for the phone booths being near to fire hydrants are that they all have a telephone number connected to them so incase you see a fire you can run to the phone call the firefighters and instead of having to tell them a address you can tell them which number you are calling from which should be on the phone in the booth, this is a pure educated guess though and I would love to know more.

It's not "ground forces", It's "CAS simulator. CAS needs "balancing" or soon the only ground vehicles in the game will be people getting spawn points for planes, then the ground RB battle will have little or no ground vehicles and the "air" be as boring as air RB.
If all the developers that created War Thunder got a flesh eating bacteria and died tomorrow I would throw a freaking party. Or better yet Gaijin Burns To The Ground never to make video games again.
i really need help ive searched all over google and i cant find the info im looking for. how do you set the ping location key in war thunder like when ur in ur tank and ur trying to ping the tank that just shot u so ppl can look at it. ive seen you (bo) have one set separate from the scout key and im trying to figure out how to get my own personal ping key set

physically psychic, expert bomb acciracy,, and unopposed flanking why do we get paired against consumste pros who easily find this rage-worthy boring!? THEY cannot lose even if they were blind!
dont rush witht the first players or alone, stay back a bit and maybe go with the guys who are going to the side of the map to flank. Its mostly about map knowledge at the beginning and then its about who has better aim. But that will always come with the experience of playing more. Also dont dont sit too much in a place if you see your team is not close, unless you know for sure nobody can see you. Use your binos to have a better view of your surroundings. When you know you are getting close to a position where the enemy is usually, always reduce your speed and even stop for a few seconds, to be able to hear any enemy engine.

as a swede i must say that we do not have fire hydrants as such, it is more like a small manhole cover you lift up and plug in the firehose.
