this theme has such a strong feeling of being close to the end of something, like watching everything decay as only you remain or watching the dust of a city fly away. sitting in the desert and remembering the days before it all, watching the fire flicker and as you steel yourself to face your final foe, you remember the good days. the good days long long ago.

This song is an incredibly unique experience compared to most of the other tracks off the OST. Even other songs including acoustics, like some of your non-Deepwoken songs in particular, have a very different /feel/ for lack of a better word. Very heavily reminded of Dwarf Fortress, like you mentioned in the chat, which itself is another game with an OST that I adore.
I won't lie, this song is still fresh in my mind, and so I can't pick out anything that's stuck out to me as especially stunning - though don't misunderstand, this composition is immaculate as always. The new sound was very unexpected, and very very welcome. And, do I need to say it? The little leitmotifs were enough to make me tear up. This song is definitely a highlight for me, even compared to many of my all-time favorites from the OST. I won't call it a top-fiver quite yet, since I haven't had time to dwell on it yet, but I can see myself ranking this VERY highly in my own arbitrary list of favorites.
Regardless, this piece has blown me away as all your others have. I'm so beyond grateful for the music you continue to put out, and I really hope you know how loved your music is. I would gush about your songs for weeks and weeks if I could, but I'll just leave it at this; You're a fantastic composer, Nakti. I hope you never doubt your ability, because you stand peerless in my eyes.
Update: Yeah no it's in my top five easily.

This... is amazing. No question. I love the guitar passages, the rthyms, the melodies, everything. I can picture a lone retired Deepdelver playing this as he sits alone in a mine. Reminiscing about the life he had lost after he had been injured gravely. Lamenting about what could've been. I love it, thank you Naktigonis for being my greatest inspiration

I quit deepwoken but i still listen to your songs there amazing maybe ill come back someday
The two main motifs... a battle of two natural forces pushing and pulling, ebbing and flowing. The fire and the water and you in between... grand battles, sweeping ambiance, intersicial places, all connected in this dance with tinges of memories and feelings woven into the world. Every time I hear either theme play I feel it, the above and the below... thank you for continuing to create.

Now that I actually have the time to sit down and listen to this I've noticed you've placed a memory of Tides before the Hammers call. A memory of Tides is about the world coming to an end yet Humanity still persisting (Drownings, Embers still burning, Time Marches On), leading into that is the ignition Union theme which represents workers standing against the tides and continuing to work and create even after the world ends. It's not over yet.

I farm this dungeon a lot because I’m a PvP player and pretty mediocre at PvE so this is safer than dilluvian as I can’t wipe in overworld, and I have my music always on max volume because every track you make is fire Naktigonis, the little chime part is my favourite ❤️🔥

This reminds me a lot of the Kenshi OST. Its so atmospheric, dreary yet calming. Its the feeling i used to get playing deepwoken, when i first started.
