    Hey Bro - Great shooting! Both those slingshots really suit you. I am glad you like them. The bands are cut from SPRI resistance bands. I recycled the pouches from the Daisy slingshots. I used a simple wrap and tuck to attach the bands to the slingshot. Everything is available at Walmart. The non-wrist rocket Daisy can be shot hammer grip, pinch grip or thumb support. I set that one up with the forks facing the target - they can be turned the other way as well, just slide the forks out of the grip, turn them around and re-band them. These slingshots are inexpensive, available, accurate and bullet proof. A great way to get started and a lot of fun to tinker with as you develop your skills. Keep posting your vids. You are a great inspiration.

    I bought a Daisy B52 wrist rocket about a month ago and I agree, the tubes are too hard for me and I can’t shoot them very well. I went to Amazon right after and bought a cheap flat band slingshot, it was worlds better. I’m going to try putting flat bands on and reversing the wrist brace so the bands won’t have to fold back on themselves

    I actually lay the flat bands on the tips with the pouch facing the target, make a few wraps with scrap latex strips, then pull the bands over top of that and wrap again...... very secure that way.

    For anyone who wants to try this, simple shot has a step by step video on it. It's one of their older ones, so you'll probably have to hunt a bit for it.
    I have tried it, but I already had a fork I preferred and the wire frame slingshots are much bigger, less portable. Not to mention, I'm not used to a gap that wide and accuracy was an issue/finding the right anchor point. Still, if you have one, you'll be surprised how much better flat bands are than those chunky and slow tubes.

      I found simpleshot rubbers too thin. And they said they sell pre cut bands for $6 amrican. No help for hunting rabbits i go to a medical suplier

    Pocket Predator has a clamp set up to attach flat bands for those slingshots for cheap. Around $5. Those frames allow you to have a can of bear spray against the handle with the ring finger through the elastic holder. Along with a otf karambit in your shooting hand and you can get some work done. I came up with that combination while living in Seattle where I was routinely fighting with commies in the streets. I never lost one encounter!

    I just bought 4 cheap slingshots today on fb market place for 50 bucks. They come with 4 flat bands and sights with red light but man those pouches are so little. I’m going to have to upgrade those now I want to see a video of someone replacing those bands on yours

    I bought a Marksman wrist rocket and it came with tubular bands. Do you recommend 1mm or 2mm flat bands to replace the tubes?

    • @411Outdoors
      @411Outdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say 1 mm is sufficient for all

    I’m thinking about trying to put flat bands on a slingshot that uses tubular bands.

    I'm gonna try this! Also you could've had a bad band, I was able to shoot around 200 (I had some bbs and rocks) then the band tube teared. It is weak tho I'll say that

    The heavy tubes are GREAT if you know how to make custom sling rifles, like I do..however I'm curious of what flat band sizes one prefers? I may upgrade My Barnett Cobra, which is a BEAST with its original heavy tubes. What do you suggest 411 Outdoors LLC? your opinion is valued..Great vid man

      Thanks my friend! Simpleshot sells 1 mm thick latex flat bands and and that would probably be perfect.

    Whats up Daniel I'm a beginner slingshotter and I was wondering which out of these four do you think is the best: The hammer xt, the scout xt, the scout Lt, or the axiom ocularis

    • @411Outdoors
      @411Outdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Erick you have medium to large hand, I would recommend the Scout LT, if you have xl or up, Scout XT. The Scouts are the king of the slingshots hands down

    Everyone says tube bands are bad but my dad said growing up he had a couple slingshots where one had bands and one had tubes and he says the bands were inaccurate and broke super easily whereas the tubes were pinpoint and lasted a long time so I'm at an impasse

      There are some good tubes. I’ve never been a fan of the Daisy tubes but looped tubes. I love.

    Daisy have nothing to change their tubes in 20 years. You go to a hunting shop and it may aswell be a toy shop. Its why i started importing my rubber from medical suplies shops. The rubbers wear out i found due to the sudden stop of the rubber in a straight line. So had to invent a cam systen with rotating prongs else you get huge dead zones
