Techies (esp. programmers) always are so serious (I've done a lot of product sales shows), I've never seen anyone like this! Very refreshing. Love this, you can actually giggle and think at the same time.
Scott is a host because of whom one would love to visit Microsoft channels and explore new things, a great host and helping hand to learn latest stuffs.
That was a really cool format. Very refreshing and a welcome change from all the cookie cutter pre-recorded online conferences that are all trying to imitate Apple
Terra forming is the new tech frontier. Terra forming as in agricultural-and-forestry landscape engineering: about turning desert landscape and arid landscape into lush greenery. I guess that is what NASA believes in when delving into the Mars Planet Project in the long run. Terra forming needs lots of computing power to run simulations... 1. Vertical farming and skyscraper farming. 2. Simulated patches of green lands. 3. Creating agricultural terraces, run by climate tech stuff. 5. Computer based simulation runs creating artificial climate in enclosures, or environmental climate domes. 6. Holodecks for running simulations when designing large environmental climate domes. 7. Simulated water irrigation designs on computers. 8. etc. Super awesome.
Be careful what you wish for 😅 Source: I am part of the larger Build team 😉 That said, these are the awesome and fun results that really give a purpose to all the hard work we do!
Fun, interesting, humorous, and difficult to discern acting. Love the format and all the personalities I've grown to watching via TH-cam ^-^ Scott's okay I guess xD
I have the same question. I have a couple of chocolatey scripts ready for whenever I need to setup a new machine. Not sure what would I get with winget though.
Intellisense should be easier to disable. Sometimes I hover over a blank area to read the code and it always decides to show the largest block of suggestion. Lately it also adds code snippets a couple dozens lines for no reason. I know a lot of people like intellisense but please dont forget those of us who dont.
Nice presentation! .Net seems great for developers but its terrible for windows games, android/IOS app with IP(intellectual properties). All your .net software in the android store, windows machines are too easy to decompile and steal your software. Re-release your software with another name and another color. This is also one of the reasons why Microsoft does not use .net for there own commercial applications. They use C.
This is how you do a keynote. Keeps you entertained & informed.
EXACTLY.
Agreed. Very smart.
The keynote was from Satya. The CEO.
I've always loved Hanselmans humor and this is more than I could have ever hoped for. Now I want a whole sitcom
How I met your motherboard?
@@TheOneAnOnlyGuy Great name :D but that sounds more like something Linus Tech Tips would do
Scott is the freaking best of all!!!!!!!!!!! you rock man!
Six people don't seem to understand that this sleeper of a keynote is a look into the future of engaging keynotes. Well done Scott & Friends!!!
Scott is a great human
Agreed
With a habit of getting triple meat on the company dime apparently…🤭
Why?
@@andrewadams8601 He's made Microsoft far more money than any meat he could make. Dude is a huge asset to the company!

I just love scott and his team. I would watch 100 episode of this show every week, showing great things in a very new way. Fun to watch.

💙 this so much! I really want to know who the five dudes are (and I know they are dudes) who gave this a thumbs down. You are definitely no fun.
Loved it 💯
You can learn javascript! Haha.
I saw him speak at Tech Ed in 2008 (I think it was) in Sydney, wonderful talk.
Excellent! Saw it live.
This is Fantastic
Genius! Well played.
Could we instantiate github codespace container locally or in a pipeline?
LinkedIn: Hanselman - ".NET, Microsoft, sometimes Nerd....ACTOR!"
Looks like an episode from "The Office". Love the humour
Key take-away: eSheep. :)

Studio B in Redmond, yes. The "Seattle Metro Area"
Who came here from LinkedIn?🙋♂️
i've appiled for codespaces for about 2 months now... and they still havent given it to me.
Sometimes I felt that vs make us less a developer and citizen dev. VS enhance coding skills.
fun part of being dev

I currently used Chocolatey, should I be using winget instead?

Make code changes and not stop the debugger? I'm in.
Haha the code fork of visual studio works on a raspberry pi
There's an official VS Code distro included with Pis now!
nelson from sbc
Wtf! Codespaces!!!
This is 90s tv epic for older people and clearly cringe worthy for these new kids.
I can't relate to all of this positivity.

A bit too cringe at times, but a good framing device for a lot of information :-)
Well that was different...
that was a great presentation. Nice job Scott and team!
