For any newcomer to war gaming. Buy a set of sprue cutters, they will help cut the soldiers off of the plastic frame. Can use plastic glue.😉

Just painting my 1st Battalion of British Infantry ... speed paint would work well, i went for black base but those straps are the time sink
Good review of the box sets. We have played a lot of Black Powder at our club for AWI, usually for Friday nights. It is a great game for that type of gaming where you just want to get together and roll some dice and push figures around to wind down from the work week.

Nice to see their tough the stuff in a box. 👍 I really like the idea of being able to use them as bare red+blue plastic to get you going. We play a lot of BP at the FOGH and enjoy them. One of the FOGH has gone Epic Naps mad and has French, Saxon and Prussian forces. They look great ‘en masse’. He has split his strips in half which I think Leon did as well. Lots of options 😀. I look forward to watching the rest of your journey with them.

That’s a LOT of little fellas. Could do Sharp Practice zoomed out if nothing else. Impressed too, in a world where there is a demand for a one stop shop, helps our cause.
It really is, there's tons in here. Yeah, using it for SP at a higher level is a very good idea.
I cut the Epic ACW sprues in half and use each of those as one figure per Sharpe Practice. It has a good look to it.

You could use General D'Armee for rules. I have not played them, but I do like Black Powder
I pre-ordered GDA2, so when it arrives I'll be looking at using it in future, I'm sure.
@StormofSteelWargaming I solo play, so Black Powder are a fairly straightforward set of rules. As with anything, or any period, not to everyone's taste. I can make BP more complex by adding a few appropriate special rules, but when it's just me, I dunno it's a lot of effort
How do the uniforms stack up. Can you tell the units apart? Great video. I have some 6mm Baccus just thinking where i want to get stuck in.

Yeah, plenty of people have done so. They are plastic.
