ok im the ceo of forgetting i scheduled an upload but ANYWAYYYY i have to be honest - this is the first video i actually finished this year (of many many abandoned ones..yikes lol) BUT i've really been trying to remember to put myself first and a big part of that has been recognizing the way envy & comparing myself to others affects me. if im being honest i filmed this video in an attempt to recreate a dream i had so thats why its uhhhh....kinda cringe??? but the dream really stood out to me which is why i tried to film it and am sharing it regardless of the cringe factor lol. also a lil note- i dont think social media is bad at all nor am i against any of the people in my video who are sharing their accomplishments/lives. the problem doesnt lie within the outside- it lies within me and the way i (and others) compare ourselves. we are all on different journies and although it is hard to remember that sometimes, its very true:) luv u all ak
This is... amazing. You’ve produced an in depth view of what our generation has come to. Everyone is set to a standard. It’s all about how you look and how many likes you get. It’s toxic; it’s poisonous. And you’ve managed to capture this mindset in 3 minutes and 10 seconds. Don’t try to fit into today’s standards; be you.

This is to put it simply brilliant. You don’t even say a word out loud just let others speak and it all comes together through the video. This is both amazing technically and in terms of the meaning. Lately I’ve been feeling stuck in a circle of wanting to create something and wanting to share it then when I actually do it feeling insecure about my work almost bad. It’s hard to balance keeping up with people versus being envious. Showing your work or seeking validation. And we keep doing that. This was perfect timing thank you.

The last time I was subscribed to this channel was on my old account and this channel was still called lexamazing so it took me a while (2 years) to find this account again. I'm back and it really has changed around here. Keep up the work. 👍🏻

Like a dream / nightmare, the video just replayed on its own! Now, that's spooky!) Is a good video, overall. Forget the "cringe", it must belong. Not sure if this will help you or anyone else. I'm a senior citizen. Years ago, because I THINK a lot, I decided most of us by age 12, 13, or 14 have established, who we will always be. This does not mean profound events or realizations, can't change us. We do grow. Still, at those ages the Foundation for most people are set. This is why it may be best for most people to be themselves. We are Social Engineered beings. This begins with parents, our Society, friends, etc. A lot of this is a Civilized necessity. We are taught to compare---plus, this may be in our genes. In important ways our civilized society sincerely lies to us, in various ways, because the society really believes the lies. I am not on any of the major Social Media Platforms. (Yes, I'm here commenting and TH-cam is Social and a HUGE Platform. Another way truth is twisted.) It is true, we are on individual journeys, trapped within a journey, our complex historical space and time is a part of. You are learning to loosen yourself from a lot of the external journey, as a part of the maturing process. But also, in becoming yourself, the individual. Comparing can be both good and bad. Learning, which is which, can be the hard part, even deceptive, at times. I admit, I wish I could share many ideas with you. I feel you have a good mind. You will find your way. I even like your Subscribers. I will thank you for making me Think. Thinking can be hard. You are a good equal. Now, I must tear myself away and move on. Don't become a House Plant. :-)
