£800 for a straw basket!!! My word, i am shocked. These designers must be laughing all the way to the bank and clinking glasses at the people buying them. I really do not get the " label " thing. It seems to me that some get sucked into it to be individual but somehow just become a member of the herd. If people have to be told about a designer, it kind of loses the point. This is not meant to be offensive it is just my opinion. Spending money should take imagination.... ❤

I bought the Lalage Beaumont Fontyn in medium tan last week at *esluxy* and since receiving it I have been using it and neglecting my designer collection (honeymoon period maybe) , but I was really impressed with the quality and timing, right down to how they used it. Will wear it. I wish they would make this bag in a variety of pinks (i.e. sakura pink). There are actually many options to choose from.
I think the profit margins of luxury brands are too big, which is why there are various imitation luxury goods on the market. For example, the famous *esluxy* , their existence is reasonable and targets different groups.
I think I'm the same.... It's just a bag! £800 for a bag that will probably make two outings and spend the majority of it's lifetime in a wardrobe! What you can buy with £800 🤔🤔🤔.... Whether you do have more money than sense, and £800 is nothing to some people, it doesn't take that many active brain cells to work out, surely??
I have the LYXBAG , Bastia, and Kelly pockets like you, and I agree that the buttons on the Kelly pockets are too prominent. I like the Bastia and Calvi for being relatively flat and not "cramped"!

I know people who own a lot of real luxury brands but they live in their mom's house. I own my own house and drive a Lexus, I do buy real mid-size luxury cars but anything over $1000 I buy a *esluxy* knockoff and keep the money in my pocket.

I know people personally who have so much genuine luxury brands yet they live in their mama house. I own my own home, drive a lexus and i do buy real mid luxury bags but anything over $1000 im getting a *esluxy* and keeping money in my pocket.
I have a friend who actually used to work for a high-end design company. His job was to choose which factory to use to produce the design products. The factories that make genuine products only produce orders for YSL, Hermès or other brands, and then they produce 1,000 bags to sell on the counterfeit market. The bag you need is already sold at the same price as *esluxy* , so you don't have to spend more money.
I live close to the Mexico border. I always go for *esluxy* , their quality is great. Some of them are made with leather and really hard to tell the difference from real or not. Either way, it’s your choice. No judgement from me.

I bought a knockoff of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real one cost $800 and is made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other is a $40 knockoff of a *esluxy* backpack - also for comparison - I can't find any difference and still use it at the gym

I don't own many designer pieces, but from the few authentic ones I have bought, I have learned that they are really just objects. After the initial excitement of finally getting something after working so hard and saving up, I am left with a physical reminder that I spent so much money on something so insignificant. I still love my LV reverse monogram *preluxs* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.
I have the smaller LV *esluxy* on the go tote from Walmart and I love it. I also have the larger in black but it is soft that it doesnt hold structurly like I prefer. I dont use those long straps.

A very insightful video - it’s interesting how sometimes people buy replicas and then pretend they are the real thing, which in a way feeds into that sense of exclusivity that discourages people from buying the real thing in the first *esluxy* ! Like the drama that happened on the reality show Singles in Hell

Since during u walk in mall or on the street no1 will stop u and check ur bag from 5cm distance to see these differences. These differences are mostly impossible to see from more than 1-2m away. And be honest. 95% of these people buy these stuffs only to pretend fancy,rich during a walk

I have two pre-loved *HOTDUPS* that people left the stickers on, and when you remove them, the hardware looks different than the hardware right next to it that the sticker didn’t touch. It’s not because the other has scratches, the sticky stuff affected the finish.

I used to think that owning a luxury bag was an unattainable dream, until D U P B A G Y told me that this dream is actually very close. The sense of fashion comes not only from the brand, but also from personal matching and attitude.

It's a shame because it's no longer available - may have been reported to Loewe who got the dupe taken down. However I did look at the suggested alternatives and there is a Christian Dior dupe being sold for £22.50. Not sure how Amazon let these Chinese companies get away with it but I would definitely buy the dupes instead of paying £1,000 for a straw bag.

As an artist, I think dupes are downright stealing. As an ignorant consumer at times, I think some people just shop Amazon (or Temu or Steve Madden or Target, etc) for things and buy them because they are cute and don’t know that they are dupes.
I also think the designers are INSANE with their out of this world pricing. They feed the dupes. If they would make their products reasonable, I mean, enough so that a person could get one or two bags every decade without risking losing their car or house…
