Your not wrong John. I'm glad you enjoyed this story. All things considered I always felt that this was a very tense situation and story indeed with Adam not seeking to be able to even get a break or a breather without the that terrible creature the Behemoth chasing Prince Adam all over the labyrinth and it wouldn't have been much fun if this crafty creature got its teeth and claws on its prey. In short a story worth its weight in pages and audio cassette tape that I'll never ever forget.
Thank you! I love audio stories that capture my imagination through sound effects, and this one most conjured up the mental images I had as a child listening, as if I was actually watching the story in my mind. I particularly remember this image at 14:03 of He-Man trying to climb the crumbling rock wall. Such a dramatic image to start the visualising process. Ahhh nostalgia. I'm far too old to now get captured by the other He-Man storybooks, but if anyone knows any other good ones that are short and with sound effects, I'm all ears!
Thank you very kindly for your great comment @SwankyNosh. I really appreciate this. Nostalgia comes in many forms and I can understand how you found some of the images illustrations and the impressive sound effects truly enjoyable. As your a fan of stories with sound effects I've uploaded a fair few stories including Filmation's Ghostbusters The Real Ghostbusters Thundercats Masters Of The Universe Rambo The Force Of Freedom and Robin Of Sherwood to name a fair few. Thanks again. Happy viewing pleasent listening and welcome to my channel.
Your very welcome Greg Little. I had a copy of this cassette too and think I still do somewhere. What I enjoyed most about this story was that it was a very tense story. With Prince Adam running for his life and the Behemoth hot on Adams trail. And it would have been the end of everything if that beast had ever got his mits on Adam. While back an action figure was released based upon one of characters from the books that were Skeletor's slaves the Skelcons. And who knows perhaps someday there will even be an action figure of the Behemoth. Thank you again for your great comments and I hope you have a nice day.
Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!!!! sooooooooo long i have wanted to hear this again, i feel 5 years old again! This has made a crappy day brilliant ... Amazing! xx
You are very welcome Peter Sheward. Thank you for the positive feedback. He-Man and co was a big part of my childhood so it is both a pleasure and an honour to have shared this vinatage 80's audiobook with you and the rest of TH-cam. Keep an eye out for new videos. I will upload A Trap For He-Man as soon as I can and then go on to uplaod more stories based upon your favourite defender of Eternia . Thanks again.
Your very welcome. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I will up[load A Trap For He-Man onme day soon then I will upload the ladybird He-Man bumper stories. Thank you very much for the feedback and for your positive comment.
I don't blame you General Heavy. This story was a very close call for Prince Adam. I liked the Ladybird audiobooks and stories very much and still do to this day. But it was this very story that set itself apart from the others in the series and really raised the stakes in the name of survival. Thoughtout the story I feared for Prince Adam's life despite him been a character from a franchise. As he barely escaped the clutches of the Behemoth without ending up its meal. And considering the fact that Prince Adam manages to outwit the deadly threat chasing him for the most part it kind of makes us appreciate Adam been held responsible with all of the responsibility and powers of Grayskull. As if Skeletor's plot had worked and Adam had paid with his life in The Labyrinth Of Purpetua there would have been no more He-Man. Thanks for your great comment.
Your not wrong Kris Clare As the old saying goes the old ones are the best ones. Thank you very much for your nice comment for watching this video and have a great day.
Hi William Griffin. I do have something very special to upload when I can. Namely another series of audiobook stories. I can't say what they are as I don't want to spoil the surprise. But believe me when I say when these stories go up on TH-cam I think these stories will keep the fans happy and full of nostalga for a very long time. Thanks again.

Your not wrong. As I recall Orko had as much courage in the Filmation He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe series as he did in this story. Overall this LadyBird He-Man book was one of very few in that series of books that actually made the book as intresting tense and as on the edge of your seat which was quite a game changer from all the other books down the line. For two reasons. 1. The story well and truly amps the tention throughout the story while making it acceptable for all ages. 2. Second of all although the title of this book is called He-Man Meets The Beast we see alotmore of He-Man's true self ie Prince Adam for a good chunk and duration of this story as he tries trick after trick in trying to outrun and outwit his terrible perserer and The Labyrinth Of Perpertua's awful in abitant The Behemoth before it catches Prince Adam and tears him apart. Even now a good few years further into the future the images and the way the story is written still stand the test of time. The chase in all honesty was quite tence all through the story and Prince Adam had quite a few close calls throughtout the chase. If Adam wasn't able to get away and hide from his foe and if Orko hadn't been able to return Prince Adam's Sword Of Power to him in time Skeletor and The Bhemoth would have won and things would have been very different. All in all this was a great book to read and the audio cassette that goes along with this book is still a pleasure to listen too.
I must say I never understood why only the Sorceress, Man at Arms and Orko knew that Adam WAS He Man! Surely it wouldn't have hurt for others like Teela, and even King Randor, to know!
Hello Alexander Jones. I believe the reason why Prince Adam only lets a select few like the Sorceress of Grayskull Man At Arms and Orko know that he is He-Man and not his Mother and Father or even Teela know of his secret identity and double life is because of the fear of repriseles from He-Man's enemies. And because if any of He-Man's enemies knew that Prince Adam and He-Man were both one and the same then none of his enemies and villans not even the lord of destruction himself Skeletor would stop until they had all hurt or put in danger the ones Adam/He-Man both protect respect honour and admire. I hope my civil comment helped with your question.
Your welcome Alexander Jones. There is also an episode from the cartoon series called Prince Adam No More. Which really delves into alot of detail in how much of a toll it takes on Adam keeping the secret but also in having to pretend to be careless and irrisponsible just so none of the others ever suspect that Prince Adam is He-Man.
I remember getting this book as a kid! I must had read it a million times, and played the tape until it couldn't play anymore. How did you get it on TH-cam?
I put my copy of He Man Meets into the taperecorder then I attached a dictaphone to the taperecorder the other end to the mic of the dictiphone and recorded each side. After that I listened to both sides to make sure that the auio had come out ok edited the pictures of the book in perfect time with the narrator and then uploaded it to TH-cam for the listening pleasure of everyone. AS you enjoyed this so much you are welcome to watch a ribute video that did in honour of John Grant the man that helped to make the Ladybird He- Man She ra books Transformers books and many others. Thank you very much for your comments and I am very glad that you got to enjoy a happy memory.
......who down voted this? Do they even understand what a gift it is to have this? This person has to digitise tape audio, scan pages from a book and upload to TH-cam and make it FREE for everyone! 'tis a gift, bitches!
please re-record/re-rip this cassette in STEREO, not MONO. To do this use a cassette player with a headphone jack socket, and use audio cable, thats green on the silver jack itself, and connect it to the line-in port on your desktop pc/apple/pc laptop, then adjust the line-in ports volume. this will record content in stereo.
Brilliant childhood memories 👏

Hello Andy C.
I'm glad you enjoyed this story.
Thank you very much for your message.
Skeletor is played with such severe theatrical deliciousness......... magnificent. The narrator has a fantastic tonality.

Tbh, King Randor's voice must have made them tremble, as Skeletor wanted! I'm sure he sounded less angry and more kindly in the series! 😂😂😱😱

How did Orko 'mount' Teela's horse? He glided everywhere anyway!
