There is something fundamental in music that appeals to all ages. In this case it seems to remind people of their past experiences, taking them back to a basic state of mind. Many years ago I was asked by a lady to do a slide show about the plants and animals to be found in the New Forest UK. I had done many, but in this case it was to a large group of inmates/residents in a mental home. This was in Hampshire UK. When I arrived I was told that the attention span of the audience was basically zero, and that they would walk about, talk, and pay little attention, but that I should just soldier on regardless. The slides were of plants, deer, snakes, and all manner of creatures. I gave them my normal slide presentation, with lots of information, and spoke for 90 minutes. In all that time nobody moved from their chairs, and all listened in silence! At the end there were in fact many deep and intelligent questions for the audience. The staff were absolutely stunned! Like music, there is something in wildlife that even these people seemed to be taken into somewhere from their youth.
Oh-my-God this music just touches something so deep in my soul, such an unique feeling....and this video's great, especially the sound, absolutely perfect!
