Everyone should take full advantage of this virtually snowless season to walk the residential areas and truly enjoy the decorations. The other night I walked on Cullom noticing an inflatable Rudolph on the roof, blinking red nose and all. It was marvelous.
Ah, I grew up on Astor street, now living in East Lakeview after decades in LA. Loved seeing the old hood, as I never get down there. Our flat was at 1444 N. Astor. Wonderful old art deco masterpiece. You walked past it without panning to it, sadly, but this is still a beautiful walk. Love how quiet and still it is while also having those holiday lights on. 😊
