Great video. Completing it reminds me of the same feeling you get when playing a rhythm game you full combo a hard track for the first time. Surprised you didn't mention open hexagon though.
i feel like this game captures exactly what i like about difficult games you will fail, get frustrated, but over time and perseverance you'll get better and better till you beat it while i haven't played this game, what you're describing sounds a lot like my experience with games like celeste beating farewell took me literally 18 hours and over 6k deaths, but my god was it worth it so yeah, cool video
Great video! This feeling that you are describing is exactly the same as the one I personally felt when playing and beating Sekiro. When I first bought the game I hated it for how difficult it was, and because of my lack of skill I could not experience that feeling you so well described. Years later, I decided to give it another shot, and it ended up being one of my favorite games of all time - to the point of becoming a Zen, relaxing experience fighting the hardest bosses in the game, because I learned their patterns so well.
Nice video, it was really fun to watch! My life is unfortunately too busy for me to ever enjoy these kinds of games, because I simply don't have the time required to improve on them. Still, I really appreciate the simplicity of it, it's really neat!
Really appreciate the video! Not a lot of people talk about panel the pon, and "simple" games are underrated. Another recommendation for any tetris attack enjoyers is Flipon, which can be seen as a fanmade tetris attack. It doesn't have the same charms as the original games but it is nice to have something for the pc. I surely have had my panel de pon addiction.
Great video can't believe how small your channel is compared to the quality! Also probably should add if you're talking about original NES tetris or modern tetris
Thanks for making this video! I really love this game! As someone with ADHD, it lets me feel a temporary calmness and relaxation that's unmatched. Everything in my brain just shuts up for a minute and I'm truly just that little triangle dodging walls. One cool thing about the PC version specifically is how quick it starts up and can be closed. Click the icon, it comes right up. No loading, no logos, no intros. Just press enter two times and you're playing. Same with closing. ESC two times and you're out isntantly. Makes it the perfect "brain resetter" when you have a minute of downtime. I have a dedicated "start hexagon" button on my StreamDeck. The soundtrack is amazing and both Terry and Niamh (Chipzel) are awesome people. You should give Terry's VVVVVV a go, i think it hits a lot of the same points. Different genre, but still super hard, super banging soundtrack, and getting into that flow state is super satisfying and rewarding.

8:51 so true. have you ever gotten past it accidentally by going "right right" and then just holding right for the rest of it?
