It's like shit, how is this so hard to figure out, the fucking Noob Adventures managed to give Minecraft a plot 13 years ago and Slamacow managed to spruce up the look of Minecraft in his animations while staying faithful to the artstyle. People in the comments of the trailer are begging Story Mode for forgiveness it is so bad.
@@zuntata7860 After mulling it over, I came to pretty much the same conclusion. At least insofar as how the Lego movie portrayed the Lego world as the imagination of a kid. When criticizing media, I like to try and come up with a version I would like better, so this is what I've come up with for the Minecraft movie: The movie stars an older brother and a younger sister; the older brother has been playing Minecraft for a while and their parents have just gotten it for the little sister. The movie starts with the younger sister logging into the world her brother made for them. Upon logging into the game world, rather than live action, we see her game avatar. Her somewhat tired brother stands by a tree and greets her, saying something like "I began wondering if you'd ever show up" he then leads her through the wilderness a little, until they come to the house he built for them the day before. The sister is amazed and asks if he built it all by himself, in response he'll chuckle a little and say "Yup, all me". We then pan to the day before, with a close up of the brother wiping his brow and sighing "phew finally done." Then looking past the camera to his build; it is then we get to see that he built a square box of wood with no windows and one door. Going back to the real world, we then see the little sister pushing her head into his room and loudly saying "Mom says I have to go to bed now, but I get to stay up late tommorow so we can play together! Did you finish making our house?" The brother takes another look at his build, seeming to realize this won't do, he then turns to her with a smile and says "of course, who do you think I am? Hey no peeking!" He covers the screen as she tries to come over and see "You're going to bed, remember? You'll get to see the house tommorow." The sister pouts, but does ultimately leave. The brother then sits down again and goes to TH-cam to search for build guides, when seeing just how long the video lasts and what the time is, he exclaims "Who needs sleep anyway?" This is pretty much the only scene I have thought out in detail, as for the rest of the movie, I would probably have a first segment where they just play the game, perhaps with a montage to skip time a little. As for the long term plot, I'd have them stumble upon a special device which allows travel through dimensions, effectively transporting them from their private survival server, to public servers. Seeing as Minecraft is a very community driven game, I think it makes sense to have the movie have a lot of elements of that. Perhaps they'd go to a factions server, where nations are fighting for territory, maybe they go to a Hypixel look-alike where there'd be a spleef tournament they have to enter. I'd probably use Herobrine as a main villain, with the piglins acting as his servants. There could also be a bunch of TH-camr cameos, assuming some could be found that aren't predators.
Fuck they really did just try to do Jumanji again didn't they? JB is clearly meant to have been in the game for a long time, having gone mad or something.
Always appreciate your highlights RM. Your channel was largely the reason I discovered vtubers and stuck around. Never knew how many fun and goofy times were on this side of TH-cam but I’m glad I found it
I have a lot of thoughts on how to improve the minecraft trailer. I also think everyone does have a lot of good thoughts on how to improve it because it's looking REAL bad. But big number 1) the comedic timing is off. Like by seconds off the beat.

The only good thing about that trailer is that it had Mint in the corner.
