- More silver consolidation could be in the future as companies scramble to get access to primary silver assets in as the metal price rises, Mitchell Krebs, President & CEO of Coeur Mining (NYSE:CDE) told Kitco Mining. Coeur’s US$1.7 billion bid for SilverCrest Metals (TSE:SIL) and its high-grade Las Chispas mine in Sonora, Mexico comes hot on the heels of First Majestic Silver’s (NYSE:AG) $970 million bid for Gatos Silver (NYSE:GATO) and its Los Gatos mine in Chihuahua. “Across the metals complex in silver, it's a very, very small universe. There are not a lot of primary silver assets out there, like Las Chispas,” said Krebs.

12:26 …. I liked that SilverCrest was keeping physical on its balance sheet …. Wouldn’t be surprised if this was the first thing to go once the deal completes.
I own silvercrest and i vote no to the deal
Paul Harris is a pro. Good journalist.
I'm up 180% this year on this so called "garbage company" !
Bit of an update Just Announced Russia is including Silver as a Reserves Asset. This signals or Shouts that Brics will include it for their Unit backing.
Thanks for the info!!!!
Yeah, Good comment there.
Fresnillo produces nearly 60m oz of silver per year. And is afaik the biggest producer in the world.
Why doesn't Coeur pay a dividend? Seems like there's a lot of shareholder dilution. Anyone care to share their thoughts on this?
They can’t afford it. More interested in taking rather than giving.
becouse they make cash since 15 years , delution is the way
Why Silvercrest owners would hand over their assets so cheaply to a garbage company like CDE is a mystery
This is a worse deal than when Silvercrest 1.0 sold to First Majestic. Both deals gave away the upside potential that we invested for in this company.
@@firedudeWYeah I own silvercrest and my question is why ? The management got a sweet deal to sell out shareholders ? Im voting No to the deal .
