There’s a TH-cam handle I haven’t seen in a while. Welcome back! And you’re welcome. He was such a pal

Thank you so very much. I just finished 4 hours of great content. I first discovered Pete on CSPAN and TH-cam lecture videos. Once I found Addressing Gettysburg with Pete - I was very happy - your conversations were always so much fun. So, the 4 hours were a treat! Dr Carmichael - RIP.

Glad you enjoyed it. Yes I always had fun with Pete. Especially when we’d bump into each other at the super market

Thanks, brother, for doing this in Petes' remembrance. He definitely had a special heart for our history. A special heart for his family and friends. He's definitely gonna be a part of ours for many, many years. I loved his undertoned jokes and laughter. May he rest in peace. God speed 🙏 🙌

Thanks for this. I went to The CWI last year and was blown away by Dr Carmichael during the conference. Never met him but this hit me hard. His enthusiasm and sense of humor and how he interacted with his students and the audience was phenomenal.

He was a once-in-a-generation kind of person. I’ll bet the next Peter Carmichael hasn’t even entered high school yet

You can really tell he loved history. Goes beyond knowledge. Could tell a story with feeling. A great loss.

The sense of loss those who knew Peter are feeling brings to mind the sense of loss those who lost their loved one at the battle of Gettysburg. He did so much for that community

Started to watch the stream last evening and just finished with the last hour. Pete was the absolute best and speaking as a fellow Hoosier - I'm glad that there was a local who made good. Matt and crew - thanks so much for this; an entirely appropriate tribute. Blessings to all. Cheers

This is really great stuff, I’m enjoying it so much, but sad we won’t have new talks with him to look forward to. He was just a really good guy all around, so knowledgeable, personable and funny. RIP Pete!

I've never met the man in person but was introduced to him through History Channel and the like. I was super excited to find him on A.G. God bless him and his family. And thanks Matt. I was hoping for just this exact thing your doing here with this compilation.
