You can't can't go to Ometepe without a visit to Ojo de Agua! It was beautiful there and we were so lucky to have this nearly all to ourselves. Anything during the week in Nicaragua was pretty much empty, but it is a different story on weekends. National Holidays is a whole another level though, especially at the beach!😱

@@BucketListTravellers Oh yes. I was there for 4 nights. The microclimate experienced by the island is quite something. I thought a hurricane was coming with the howling wind and all. Meanwhile it was sunny at San Juan Del Sur LOL
Wow!! What a beautiful very clean “resort” amusement park. The cost for the bus is just pocket change! I’m curious the $5 USD entrance fee, is that considered expensive (luxury)for the locals? Looked like you guys took full advantage of the fun activities! And that view of the volcano was amazing! Great video!!!~Cara 😊
Yes, the $5 USD fee would be considered expensive for locals and this entry fee was the highest (also charged for Mombacho volcano entry) we have paid in Nicaragua. Most venues have different fees for foreigners and locals, we can't recall whether it was the same here but highly likely. Now that we are in Costa Rica and deciding whether to visit a waterfall for US$18, we look back even more fondly at Nicaragua!
I’m Nicaraguan from the city of Esteli (north Nicaragua) and I think is very cheap for people from the cities, but people from the island may find it expensive considering they live so close to a fresh water beach, which end up being free.
Wow it’s crazy ! :O I’m Nicaraguan but have never actually been to or seen Nicaragua ! My grandma lived there in a hut, and left to escape the war . (She still lives with us) I’m so happy to be born here and have the life I have, but sometimes I get curious what life is like there ! I want to visit with my family some day ! :DD

This spot was very special. The slack line was a lot of fun and that guy out us all to shame! Cocolocos are perfect for poolside too!
