ProNoob, I flipped the bumper mount, adjust the body post height, and relocated the front shock position for a near perfect mod. Looks amazing & the ride height is nice. Thanks for the great videos!
I actually did the front bumper flip also and raised the front body mount, but I left the front shocks in the stock positions but took the front springs off. I am also now able to actually put the stock battery in front of the body mount suing the stock velcro to velcro it to the front mount.. Back sits a very little bit high, but barely noticable, and if I decide to change it then will get those softer springs or cut the springs in the rear. actually runs pretty good to without front springs. Nothing like upgrades that cost nothing and are easily reversible.
When I first got mine I tore it apart at my hobby shop and first mods I did were wheels n tires I brought with me, a tamiya antenna & the injora metal bumper. I flipped the bumper bracket too while installing
@@ProNoobRC haha. The body looks great but I just ordered a K10 Lexan body so this one doesn't get beat up. My paw paw had a blue and white K10 so it's more for the nostalgic value over anything else.
Man these are awesome machines!! We have 40 scale 1/10 crawlers in house but we find ourselves building these things one after another after another as doing a “crazy” build is no more than $400 lol to where some of my personal 1/10 trucks are pushing $3000 cad !! I’ve been into the micro crawler scene for years and the scx24 platform changed the game. Don’t waste your money on anything else unless you see Jesse and myself letting you know there’s a new capable micro in town lol!! Cheers!!
Nice vid man. I’m looking at fully upgrading my bronco. It is still stock and so far I only have bigger wheels new tires and a servo that I haven’t installed yet
@@ProNoobRC yeah I did but something is off because the power is there and steering works fine but the wheels don’t spin.. like I have no power. I charged it up and going to work on it today. I’ll let ya know !
Do you set the preload on the front shocks, too? I followed all your directions and my front is so low (without preload) that the tires are basically touching the fenders just sitting on the bench..
I was able to save a brass axle after a ball screw broke off in it by cutting the short end of an allen key to just a nub, and using it to slowly screw the shortest bolt I had into the back side of the affected hole. It eventually pushed out the tiny bit from ball that broke. Just took some time.
Is there a solution for the bigs breaking off? I bought a SCX24 C10 this week and went for the brass steering knuckles and same issue with no fix in sight.
Thanks for the video. I picked up the red Bronco for myself because I love the way it looks and has the V2 electronics which is supposed to be smoother. And my 6yo son loved the Deadbolt so got him that one. I used to use shoe goo inside the bodies of my larger scale trucks with dry wall tape and it holds well. Does it hold too strong for the ESC? Will you be able to remove the ESC after using shoe goo?
@@clayramsey019 hey, I'm not sure what your asking. I only referred to the body of 1/10 scale vehicles I have where I used dry wall tape and shoe goo. My 6yo is gonna beat up his Deadbolt body, he don't care lol. 😁
Can you share more about the challenges you had with a metal axle and the shock mounting? You mentioned thread changes? What was your resolution for that issue?
You will have to change the ball ends for shocks and steering links to fine thread ones off an older scx24. If you change shocks out to aluminum you will get 8 ball ends that you can use
@@ProNoobRC super helpful, thank you for the details! I feel like maybe folks are so new to metal axles and steering knuckles on the bronco that this might not be a big known change. I typically always change my steering links when I change my axle housing and knuckles. Sounds like I’ll just need to get some old ball ends in my spare parts bin. Do the fine threaded ball ends also work with the top shock mounts? It looks like you updated your shocks, did the fine thread work ok even though the old ball end was coarse?
We only changed the balls to fine on the axles and knuckles and kept course on the plastic as the holes a bit bigger yup! Also wanna make sure we don’t run out as we seem to buy one of these every month so far since release lol!! These Scx24s are a win for sure!! Jesse and myself take these with us out on the UTVs and Jon boats lol they just work everywhere! Cheers!!

Another great way to do it!! Cheers ken! Thanks for sharing your great optional tip here!
I agree i did the same another thing i did was after repositioning my shocks i used small rubber bands as limiters for the shocks

I did the same. Removed the spare and most of the roof gear. It crawls pretty well.

Well no one can accuse you of being too gentile with these...LOL... great video! thanks for the info!!!

Awesome appreciate as always you sharing, broncos looking great I’ll be watching for the next one peace and chicken grease 😁👍👍
Thanks buddy!! We appreciate your support!

awsome stuff. I gotta bookmark this so when I finally get enough coin saved up I can watch it again👍🇨🇦
Yup we should have some more vids up soon too!
@@ProNoobRC I subd after that update👍 I cant get enough scx24 content being the first decent rc I could really afford to get behind 100%

@@Rxtzero I put bigger wheels on my Bronco and my wheels would not spin as well. Loosened the back wheel nuts a little and no problem now.

Not really. But you can that is completely up to your preference. We like ours sitting as low as we can in the front when possible.

Unfortunately the only mod currently is to use the balls of older trucks. I can’t even find the balls individually to order them from Axial

Could I get the name and size of your wheel and tire setup that you have on the grey one
Rc4wd 1.0 steelies and RocLox

How did you remove the spare tire mount??
Pull the rear bumper mount off and slide post out and then chop off cleanly
Siiick
How did you remove the roof rack?
4 screws from inside
Will this body fit the c10 chassis?
Yup
