Hi brother , few doubts : I am a tender coconut seller...I don’t no anything about lorries, please advise on below query if u can... 1) is there a insurance for the product inside the truck ? My consignment is going from tamilnadu to rajastan . 2) I am sending tender coconut: is there a GST for that? 3) what kind of papers from my side I have to give to truck agency.
As far as I know. U are sending your items via a transporter right? 1) Check with transporter for material Insurance and liabilities. Better to give them entire responsibility of goods once you load the same onto the truck till it is unloaded at destination. You will just provide the freight /charge of transporting the consignment . 2) You will have to give your product details in some form a forwarding note ,declare your values along with consignment source and destination details. Provided it is just transportation and not sale.
Take the example of a courier you are sending to your relative at Rajasthan. 1) Material is yours. 2) You are sending to your relative via courier. 3) it is not a sale. 4) you pay service charges to courier partner. 5) courier partner is responsible for safely delivering to the destination.
