I appreciate your posting these videos and especially the links to the parts. Only suggestion...place the camera closer so we can actually see what you are doing. I ended up taking the switch off the handle and when I tried to reassemble, ended up breaking the switch. Luckily a friend helped me figure it out. You make it look easy, a close up view would help us people who don’t regularly do such repairs. Thanks.

THANK YOU! We ordered the part online, followed your instructions and the door latch is like new again! Took my wife and I all of about 15 minutes. The hardest part was twisting my old body into a contortionist position to get into the cabinets under the kitchen sink to unplug the dishwasher before performing the repair!

Big help, not only did I fix the dishwasher, I also learned the breaker switch labeled dishwasher, doesn’t actually control the power to the dishwasher, a little surprise at the time, but now I relabeled it to avoid that in the future

Make sure you buy the assembly that includes the installed handle. The handle is the part that usually breaks.
A little close up camera work would have been nice.

Before your replace your latch assembly, make sure your don't have something in your dishwasher that is keeping your door from closing all the way. If your door can't latch securely, the dishwasher will not tern on. I purchased a $50 part kit for no good reason, because I did not do thorough diagnostics first.
What happens if the door handle is jammed in, and the door can not be opened?
Is it possible to get just the handle anywhere... My latch and switch is fine. I just need the handle but, cant seem to find it by itself!
For the life of me, I cannot get the plugs to come apart from the switches. I may just reuse the old switches as they seem to be fine. I'd love any advice to get them unplugged however. WD-40?
After repair the start button doesn't work. Other selection buttons light up when pressed but not the start button! What the heck?

Good job on the video, but !@#$ Maytag!! The stupid plastic handle breaks after 6mos, but isn't covered under warranty, and they charge $70!!!! for a damn piece of plastic. Had I realized that I would have just saved all the plastic bits and EPOXIED them back together to make a handle that won't break. STUPID company. LG, here I come.
How did that work out for you? I'm just getting ready to do the same thing myself. I have the epoxy ready to go...
