Omg I feel you I had to take a break from IG because I was getting lost into it the app and people drawings and losing the passion of drawing so I feel you 100 percent!!!!! But it helps a lot though now I found my art style that I love that screams me if that makes sense!!! And I love how the setup you got for you videos I got me a new tripod and don’t know the perfect angle for my videos 😭
Yes exactly, we both relate!! And having an art style does help for sure. thank you !!🙏🏽 and OMG I spent so much time trying to figure out the right angles for the videos 😅🤦🏽♀️ but I got something that works for now. (Camera kinda sits in my face tho)
I find thatI feel less of that comparison when I watch youtube videos for artists. Like I can see their process throughout the work and hear their thoughts, their struggles and it just feels more motivating. I'm sure if I only spend time looking at their IG page then I would probably start to feel bad about myself. It makes me less likely to feel bad and more likely to feel inspired by their work when I know how much effort they put into it. I post art on tiktok but i haven't in so long because I just feel tired and pressured to have to make my art perfect to post it. Then I end up never starting or never finishing an artwork. I really just realized how fun just randomly sketching while I'm out in public is. Also I just found your channel and i love your art style already.
Yes it is definitely hard to relate on instagram TH-cam just feels different in a good way I agree ✅ and yea that’s pretty much what happened to me I’m definitely a perfectionist at times so it would keep me from starting or finishing too. It’s definitely nice being able to sketch for yourself with no pressure ! 💜

I was burnt out for a year and through most of 2021 for the same reason of trying to post as much as possible to keep engagement up. Almost lost my mind. My art got better when I started to move at my own pace funny enough. Everytime I post on IG again after while my reach is so bad and I have to dump a bunch of art just to get it back up again 😂Which wasn't the case in my earlier days on there. The changes they made to the algorithm just make it even more draining
Yea that sounds like instagram 💀 they basically made the platform for robots I swear there no way to post that often (at least not with out reusing content) I think I did lose my mine briefly 😂 And same my art improved after I left for a while 👍🏽

I do realistic portraits but the more simplified stylized drawings throws me all the way off, which I don’t understand why. I can’t get the hang of it
