You’re going to drop when you’re focused on learning new habits. Once you level out and it becomes part of muscle memory you’ll begin to climb.
Well lets be honest if u wanted to climb, u would have played orisa and not old Rein.
@@TNV260 you can climb out of bronze all the way to gold with Rein. It’s actually easier at those ranks with Rein than Orisa. The horse isn’t an auto-win every game.
@@mylegguy8115 I never said u can’t the video is legit a rein guy who got champion, but that doesn’t change the fact that learning orisa rn is a way more fruitful venture than rein if u wanna climb. Especially in lower elo when u can’t trust ur support as much. And rein is def not easier the only easier part is that u don’t have to aim. Orisa tutorial to plat mby a bit more, use e if need shield if still need shield, fortify if not just shoot, if u had to fortify and ur still getting lit up then just press e again cause it’s back up after one rotation afterwards take cover for around 5 sec and u can go again. Compared to a rein shield easily gets melted then he is a sitting duck for 5 seconds. Rein gets countered by traps and other form of cc orisa fortify, rein needs shatter or pin to cancel abilities otherwise u have to hope ur shield can hold after that u have to run and beg for heals meanwhile orisa can just throw a spear like every 4 or 6 seconds. Not to mention the fact that orisa is ranged compared to Reinhardt who can only flamestrike at range. Orisa is better for everyone with a functional arm and hand to aim with in all ranks. The only reason rein would have is that his kit is basic to understand for newer players but after bronze there isn’t even a competition, rein just loses especially since there are so many orisas in ranked cause she is so busted rn.

I shed a tear watching this video. I really lost myself this season 1 tricking Reinhardt. I managed to finally rank up to Diamond in the beginning of season 10 only playing Rein, but the overwhelming amount of times I played Orissa finally got to me. I started playing Winston Dva and even Zaria. Despite me titling in various comp games never once did I switch to Orissa(that’s disgusting). My hatred towards Orissa is so great I would never even think about switching to her no matter how tilted I was. This video gave me the passion and fire to lock Rein every game again no matter how many times I get flamed by my teammates. Idgaf anymore! It’s Rein or die. And I got way too much honor and glory to die! Stay up fellow Reinhardt mains ✊🏽. We’re not going anywhere!

The harassment you'll get in games for just playing Reinhardt is wild. You really do have to have a strong mental to play this character right now. Everyone will drop all the blame on you no matter what.
Your teammates in most cases are just bots and should be ignored at all times. Regardless of hero choice.
Ball is that but 1.5x worse. And has been pretty much since the release of ball. It is probably the truest test of mental fortitude in any multiplayer game ever. 1v9 every game

Thanks for the very insightful guide on how to play Reindhart on every map. I know I've made some success with Rein where nobody else can, and I will come back to him time and time again. Now that you gave me this guide I can confidently play Rein again and fight through their flames knowing that I know what I'm doing and I stand by that.
1:38 You can just aim a bit to the side where the hammer will begin the swing, no need to shake like that (like, 1st swing from right, you move crosshair to the right side of enemy). Works with Brig too, but needs less crosshair movement, because of the smaller hit area of the mace.

Find a team to play with or don't play open queue. If they have Mauga, Orisa and you are the only tank on your team it's going to be impossible. Role queue is more tolerable for solo queue players.

I have been playing rein for almost 5 years now. In ow1, shatter used to do 75 shield dmg on the ground and break the the shield. While also going through the shield. so I’m happy you put this change in your video causes I would thought it never changed Ty cloudy 😇

So i have a question @lhcloudy. If your dps dont get elims and youre on any map what do you do? Just soak up enemy damage/cooldowns? So kinda like your "spongehardt" Playstyle? Or do you try and make a play with 3..2..1.. go
from ratrein to spongehardt. loving this hero is a true grind lmao
not sure if you mentioned it but don't let the shield die completely - most teams will not let you have shield and will hammer it constantly so you need to manage it, if it dies completely it takes way longer to recharge (just use environment also like all other tanks have to)

Excelent guide! I have to say that i admire you to still play reinhartd against the odds. I was a gm reinhartd in ow 1 season 4 after that i just Wanted to play dps. But sometime i still played reinhartd i feel like its natural for me, i think im good but i dont like to play tank that much, now in ow 2 i still play dps because i dont like the presure im feeling playing alone being the only tank getting focus. But today i played reinhartd and i owned the enemy team. im actually having fun again playing rein maybe i will play it more in the future. Thanks for the guide and típs

atm im doing rein winton and im thinking ram can be a more effective spongehardt since he has no falloff on primary to poke and the suck to control a bit block and shield to sponge attention etc? Thoughts?
