Oh... those daily/nightly chats from years ago were so much fun. I used to literally schedule my time to always make sure I was free to attend those. I was also greatly sad when those ended... but I understand they were tons of work to do. Loved 'em, though! :-)

Ice cream and french fries is definitely nostalgic. I never came across someone else who enjoys it.
Here's one I bet you haven't tried. In High School they served their nachos next to the salad cart. So the toppings for each were on the same cart. One day I got a splash of Ranch on my nacho cheese. OMG! So good! So I started putting Ranch on my nachos. It caught on like wild fire. Other people starting doing it. It was happening so much the school banned it because they were losing money as naturally the salads cost more but we were buying cheap nachos. Thanks Etiwanda High School! Ithas be be actual nacho cheese sauce and it has to be a good authentic Ranch, not that bottled yucky stuff.
McDonalds Hot Mustard dipping sauce is the best!
I have an old GripMat... one with a Xia logo in the corner and a starfield map.... I love that thing. It truly does keep tiles from sliding around... It is also 3x3 feet, so it is perfect for stuff like X-Wing. Anyway, I just wanted to add a testimonial that their product is solid. :-)

You can also just make Tzatziki sauce at home.
My top 3 sauces for fries would be Campfire Sauce, BBQ sauce and Tartar Sauce (don't knock until you try it tangy deliciousness). For Chicken its Bleu Cheese all the way, unless I dont have any then Honey Mustard is pretty good.
Yeah... I never really thought about it, but I'm not a sauce person at all. Only one I really use is ketchup.

For me on dips. Garlic aioli, ketchup, honey mustard.
Heinz ketchup on everything. Sheetz hot dog with nacho cheese and ketchup.
The fact that Unmatched is based on Epic Duels is the biggest reason that we will never see official Star Wars content for Unmatched. Because the mechanisms are so similar, any Star Wars version would trigger action from Hasbro lawyers who would shut it down (yes, even though Hasbro no longer sells SW:ED, that’s just how corporate greed/copyright protection works). The other strike is that it would be Rob Daviau re-making his own game and he likely has some sort of non-compete clause with Hasbro legally binding him to never make a Star Wars version.
As much as I want it too, it can never happen. If it could it probably would have by now anyway.
GripMats are awesome, I gave a big 3' x 3' one for playing tabletop miniature games and it definitely helps keep things in their place. Looks great, too.
Live chats were a lifesaver to me and I'm sure many others who were struggling through the pandemic. So appreciative of all the time you all put into that series!
So many digital indie games to board games recently. Stardew Valley, Deep Rock, Slay the Spire, Dorfromantik, now Valheim and Don't Starve.
I want Transformers for Unmatched... they would be on the bigger side like the T-Rex I suppose unless they do Rumble and Ravage or something. Also I notice Metroplex on the shelf.
Advanced Heroquest (1989) had player selected turn order. I'm sure it was in things prior to that. I feel like it was the default with combat/dungeon crawl games until they got more complicated and 'gamified ' in the '90s.
When we played old-school B/X D&D, we played with player-selected turn order. :-) For me, that was 1981. lol
I thought We always had to roll for initiative in old school D&D… was this a house rule?
@@richardsaunders9214 In old B/X D&D (the Basic and Expert set from 1981) the initiative was group initiative. So the players would roll a d6 for the entire group and the DM would roll a d6 for the monsters. Whoever won, went first. :-) Up the the group the order that things went in. Some things would alter it, like if someone was casting a spell that would trigger later in the round or something. But you get the gist. :-)

I just got back from Greece last week and tried Tzatziki there. It’s so much better than what we have here in California! Ahh I miss it there already.
