Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to try out the Travel Pack 3 specifically, but looking at the specs and design, I don't see how you could go wrong with either bag. AER makes amazing products as well and seeing as the space and size are similar, it comes down to a preference on the design and aesthetic to the user. However, if you're invested in the Alpaka HUB ecosystem, then I definitely would say the Elements backpack makes more sense, plus I have an exclusive coupon code available to help you save a little bit on your purchase 👀 I hope that helps!
I like this bag better from what I can tell watching reviews. I own neither of them. I think I’d choose the Alpaka. (I just purchased a ULA Dragonfly instead. )
Hi @chochop1516! Truthfully, it comes down to how long of a trip you will be taking and what you need to bring. For the Elements Travel bag, it features clamshell opening which is handy when packing and sorting through items and offers more organization. While the Shift Pack has a rolltop opening instead of clamshell opening, it does offer better expandability and a large main compartment for packing exactly how you like.
