Have you read "Infinite and the Divine"? This is one of the best 40k novels, like ever. And I have red about 150-160 40k books, consider myself a 20 years old veteran of fandom) It's has great story, lore and a lot of insides how the necron(tyr) society worked (like they have courts/legal proceedings that have been going on for thousands of years), there are AMAZING dialogues/banters between our boy Trazyn the Infinite and that bastard of Orikan The Diviner - they are HILARIOUS. The scene where the orcs unfrozen from stasis recognized Trazyn as a new ork leader after a great feat - I couldn’t stop laughing for about 10 minutes. Trazyn is just perfect 40k character. And his reasoning about the fall of the Necron civilization, that the Necrons are finite and do not produce anything new (no art, no ideas, no new necron soul has ever be born) and are an evolutionary dead end and a mockery of life itself, are truly touching. I wish Trazin to find an opportunity to transfer his entire consciousness (And he is almost the only Necron after Szarekh who did not lose his “soul” during biotransfer) into a body of flesh and blood. "Immortality has made you a time-waster. My favourite part was when Orikan finds out the humans venerate Trazyn as a Space Marine librarian, their spiritual savior and built him a fucking statue. And the Trazyn had already stolen the statue because the Orikan wanted to tear it down immediately :D In the audiobook this moments is just perfect Benny Hill 40k crossover show: "Trazyn you idiot! You got us front row seats to a revolt!" "Well, the reviews were quite remarkable"
0:25: Yeah, the original Mechanicus had Necrons as the main enemy faction, but they also appeared in Dawn of War expansions and in Battlefleet Gothic as well as in DLC for a couple other games (Battlesector and Gladius, maybe more).
Through the music you can feel the pure devotion that the mechanicus have for the god emperor/spirit machine - the gothic feel using that tech sounds/bass as an amalgamation between the ideology and technology of the 41st millenium for the imperium.
If that trailer Mechanicus II trailer was a 4 hour long movie, I'd be a porcupine by the end from all the goosebumps I'd get. ALSO, NECRONS HELL YEAH< WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...(ad infinitum). I fucking love Necrons, I'm so happy ;-; Szarekh the Silent King, my sweet baby boi, the day of your glory too approaches.
I'm going to be Controversial but I haven't really gotten into Mechanicus I'll give it a proper go sometime Loving Chaos Gate though inspired by this adorable little Vault Dweller right here 👍🏻
I think chaos Gate is more fun to play. mechanicus is very simple game. But what makes most people stay is the atmosphere, which on that front is 10/10 no notes.
