      @@truthbeckons6053 no it’s not. look it up. it’s so that the cashier has to go into the till for change and enter a sale so they cannot pocket the money when someone hands them a 2 pound coin for a 1.99 chocolate bar. perhaps a sofa for 999.99 yes it has become a psychological trick but that was not the reason it started. but this is a common misconception as to why pricing with a 99p tag began :)

    This type of interview, although looked down upon by some, are actually a feather in GB News' cap of NORMAL LIFE. It shows their intent to be normal. There is a normal, the same normal we knew in 1979. It is still here. And this type of interview is smack on. BANG ON. It is an equal handshake of normal enjoyed by the media (producer) and the home viewer (consumer) alike. It brings NORMAL back to the media handshake. Well done Nigel, hear hear.

      It costs Alan Hope his £500 deposit every time he stands at a General Election or a By Election all of which goes to the Treasury, Alan Hope has stood at 9 General Elections and 19 By Elections and lost his deposit every time. Hope in lost deposits has contributed £14,000 to the Treasury and Official Monster Raving Loony Party candidates have contributed over £100,000 to the Treasury. A true democracy would charge nothing to run for election. Alan Hope wanted to stand for London Mayor but the deposit was £5000.
