It's rare that blunders are made at this level of chess. But it's even more rare to see back-to-back blunders! 12:42 White blunders by moving King to g6! And Black immediately blunders after that by not taking Queen on e4!!
12:45 why wasn’t the queen taken there don’t see any reason why big swing in events that changed the outcome. Was he thinking to far ahead and over looked that mistake or she was trying to trap but I don’t see the trap ?
The reason Rxe4! wasn't played was overlooked due to extreme time pressure and fatigue from opening and middlegame blows. This is perhaps the biggest mistake that GM Susan Polgar did in her Chess career! She should have crashed Kramnik - the rising Chess Superstar of Russia at that time! (He eventually dethroned #1 of all time GM Garry Kasparov in Y2000 WCC match!)... A good sample game of Chess persistence and never give up attitude by a strong woman Chess Grandmaster against highly rated opponent!! 175 rating points difference is hardly been a factor!

At the end, Polgar was lost. The Queen was finding it's way to D4, where a check would take the root. If Polgar covers the check with the rook, then King goes back to 7 and she looses the rook anyway.
Interesting to see how many missed opportunities by both high ranking players.. being under pressure and keeping your mind on your own game is hard for most people.

I set up that position in Stockfish. „Mate in 13“ for Black!“ Two killshot-blunders in a row by two grandmasters! Happens once in 100 years! The reason of that clip!
There are a lot of errors starting, it seems that he was trying to last the game as long as possible, in fact he had to win because of White's error (poor placement of the queen), then White had several opportunities to win quickly. So it's a shame that for an expected high level, I wasted 22 minutes watching this video, it looks like a beginner discovering chess. Fascinating endgame. I once played K,Q v K,R. My opponent played extremely well and we ultimately agreed a draw.
What a curious game. Nice seeing Polgar playing.
i read it "dying"
The woman in the picture looks more like her sister, Judith. Susan is in the picture with the game.
Blindfold game. everybody chill about 1 blunder. awesome game from both.
Yes, it’s awesome game!
Watching this game just made my iq drop
At 12 minutes and 45 seconds, why the hell doesn’t black play rook takes queen?
👍👍👍
Because it's a woman
You've got the wrong Polgar in the thumbnail.
