Italian Carnival Extravaganza In Civitaquana, Abruzzo!

Carnival is a huge celebration in Italy and a chance for some utter silliness before the sombre Lent season. I headed to a local village to watch the procession, throw some coriandoli and then made the traditional Carnival snack of chiacchiere!
