Ya know, I thought this series was going to be a long-runner like the original and accepted the slow pace. Once I realized it was only 20-some episodes, having so many filler episodes felt so frustrating in retrospect. Did they ever announce a Season 2 of Clear Card? Especially since I can't just read the manga, as they've changed a lot of significant plot points. Oh yea, and the song is pretty good, too. :P
The manga is around the very same point at the plot where the anime ended, they're most likely waiting for the manga to release more content before they release a second season; the manga is only one chapter per month and sometimes they skip an issue, being a waiting of months, so the anime caught up quickly.

In the manga, Syaoran is semi-responsible for the Clear Cards, and he is absorbing Sakura's magic via the bear, and that the Clear Cards were so similar to the Clow Cards because Sakura also subconsciously had a hand in their creation and modeled them after the Clow Cards, but that was changed in the final episode of the anime to something completely different and neither Sakura nor Syaoran are involved in the Clear Cards' creation in the anime. Though I will grant that the anime is kinda weird in that it seems to be both a sequel to the manga and anime, despite them ending very, very differently. Most obvious being the extended focus on Syaoran's bear which, IIRC, was destroyed by Sakura in the anime and was never remade yet shows back up again in Clear Card, and that's not even getting into the continuity snarls when it was revealed that Movie 2 was still canon.
Tell me about it. I felt more anxious than excited by the end of the season because the story just wasn't moving. Had no idea how they were gonna wrap things up. I'm pretty sure season 2 is in the works, apparently clear card is still being promoted heavily in Japan.

Such a beautiful song, and such a beautiful rendition of it. I really like what you did with the lyrics here. Rather than going with a straight translation as most covers would do, you opted to weave the original words into a new lyric that captures the playful adventurousness of a new romance, that works perfectly with the melody and the spirit of the original. It really speaks to me on a personal level. Love your work, keep it up!
