I recently visited in the ambubachi festival and nothing what she said actually happened in the temple. Neither I could see any sacrifice in the temple, neither there was any blood on the floor. I was walking bare feet and my feet only had the normal dust when I came back. There were aghoris in the temple premises but you could only hear their mantra chanting while you are standing in the que and some in the temple also but what I could feel in the temple after standing in the que for almost 12hrs with full devotion was just heartwarming, magical, unforgettable. It felt like my soul was purified after entering the holy cave which was dark, only having some lamps but which could brighten up my whole world. It was an immense purifying and divine experience which filled me with a strong positive energy which I carry back with me till now. Though there is a place for sacrifice but I didn't see any sacrifices during my two day continuous visit to the temple. And lastly, I would like to say that it might be a place for tantrics but its not just meant for tantrics, its a place for all those who believe in Shakti. Lacs of devotees visit the temple during Ambubachi and only few can said to be tantrics. Maybe it all depends on the feeling with which you are going there, I went as a child and I could only see my mother.

@@krishnarawal6395 I tell you this - if the ritual is proper, done under correct conditions, the sacrificed animal is guaranteed to get a higher birth afterwords. And it is mandated by sacred texts and therefore, in shakta practice it is done and must be done. Not all rituals and not all deities, but ugra mahavidya forms will definitely receive it. In order to understand, you will have to get out of the non-tantric thinking. you can't apply jain or buddha dharma ethics onto tantric shakta saddhana. - what it is for is that it allows for a huge, massive manifestation of the deity and influx of shakti so the devata can be directly approached on the level of your inner energy channels, in a very specific way. please don't try to understand this through the lens of mainstream Hindu narrative.

Maa Durga killed the shape shifting Mahishaasur representing the ego.
A priest at the Kaamakhya temple disclosed that the person who pays for the sacrifice has to bear that karma of killing it. Such rituals are performed for gaining immediate material benefits but there is a heavy price attached to it.
A better alternative is bhakti or loving devotion to the Divine Mother. Let Her be your charioteer and She will lead you to victory and prosperity.

Eastern India and Nepal have been deeply influenced by Saktism, especially after the fall of Gupta Empire. Much of the spiritual history of Bengal, Assam and Nepal have been very dark. Occult practises are drilled deep into the psyche of Eastern Indians. And it wasn't just animal sacrifices that were made, humans too were sacrficed(Narabali).
It was only after Chaitanya Mahaprabhu started Bhakti movement and Krishna worship that some of the darker practises began to wade off. Then came the Turks who converted a lot, and the traditions were lost.

I have visited Matas Temple few days ago on 4rth april. I will explain u the visiting procedure: First of the all the Mandir authorities made two lines for visitors , One is free and the for the other one u have to pay Rs 500 . If u r in the free line then u have to travel long and wait for around 6/7 hrs to visit the temple. But if u r in the VIP line u can visit the temple within 1/2 hr. After entering the main temple u can see the tantrics and the guards constantly pushing u around and telling u to roam around very fast and constantly asking for money saying like If u u will get ur wish fulfilled if u give them money which must be more than Rs 100 otherwise they dont accept 😂, pathetic they have made it such a business place. Plus if u give the tantrics some extra 1k or more u will get more facilities like they will tell u to hurry up and even they spoke mantras in ur ear and give u blessings.
N.B = The place itself is very poweful u will feel it once u reach there but the tantrics and the temple authorities made a huge business place in the name of very goddess.
Imagine the amount of money they make each day ...
1 visitor spent around 2/3 k on average level plus they have v.i.p members and facilities which will cost u more, now u can imagine the amount of money they make when more than 10 lacks people's visit every day. 😮

With all due respect I would like to say that no religion teaches or preaches sacrifices. Witnessing the sacrifice of an animal just for your own happiness for a year is the most selfish thing a person can do. It denotes death of humanity. I feel someday truly God will come in a way and restore peace, love and compassion. That's the essence of life. No sacrifice is holy I feel. God loves all her children equally and Devi herself is a mother to all. This practice in any religion doesn't go well with my nature or of many other people in whom humanity is still alive.

    • @oindrillasarkar6251
      @oindrillasarkar6251 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Kalika puran mentions Animal Sacrifice where the animal which is sacrificed is freed from Pashu yoni and reaches the mother goddess.
It is integral part of Shakta Kalikul sect because Vaamachar is based on a complicated concept.
To get free from Pravritti, one uses pravritti as a weapon.
Even Bamakhepa, Kamalakanta never opposed it.

If you sacrifice one time in a life , you have to sacrifice in your whole life and your descendents also have to do tha . (Caution: You can't sacrifice with your own will. You can't leave sacrifice ritual even if you want to )

Sacrifice should be banned in all temples across the country. It's a very wrong practice. Mother never wants her child to be killed in front of her.

No its not necessary to give respect to every culture if it is wrong, stupid, and cruel

    • @GoddessGaia

Agreed... But what if what's wrong and stupid and cruel according to one is not so according to the other.
One may find the entire concept of believing in God wrong, stupid and cruel..
Just sayin'. One may find another religion wrong stupid and cruel. One culture may be wrong stupid and cruel according to the others.
Holy Books and schools of thoughts at one point of time may be wrong stupid and cruel according to successive ones let alone other holy books and thoughts( because these stuff evolves/changes over time atleast in some degrees)...
Best thing is to read, study, understand about WHY something is the way it is, instead of making faces if it's beyond one's idea of right or wrong.
P.s: not saying I support sacrifices especially when it's more about the show of wealth (cz cmn, a buffalo ain't cheap)... But I believe it's always a good idea to try to understand.

I would never step in that temp0le again, my marriage broke after I visited this temple when I was newly wed. My mother in Law had fixed a tantric black magic and within a a year of visit from this temple my husband started behaving very strange and a point came where he abandoned me and joined back to his mother once and for all. I dont blame the Gods for it but the occult practices there is just too much!
