The way Prince sings "Gimmie Some of that Funky Stuff!" Is akin to Rick James singing Give It To Me Baby. The Acoustic version has been a true fav of mine.

I'm so behind when I think you dont have a review of what I call "CORE" PRINCE experiences you do. I remember bumping this in my dropped 4 door Suzuki sidekick booming. I ask people who think they know Mr.Nelson about this CD and one of two things happen they give you the look? Or of you like me you can go on for hours about this maxi single. When I first heard universal love mix that's when I knew Prince was lent to us from another universe just speechless. If u are about the music you know this one this is bread n butter Prince .
The best maxi-single Prince ever released? That is a bold claim, but it's not an easy one to argue with. It's definitely amazing. The Universal Love remix was always the highlight of this disc for me, mostly because I was in love with the alternate lyrics. Honestly, I haven't played the rest of the disc in years now, but after watching this, I'm going to have to go do that.
Yeah, I thought “Gett Off” had all really really good versions, although for some reason, the accompanying maxi video with Prince rollerblading now seems a little goofy, still might be my all-time fav 😊
I can think of only three artists who put/used to put effort into a remix, instead of just changing the music: Prince; R.Kelly; Mariah Carey. I love when a remix is treated as an original song, separate-from- yet-akin-to its source. I used to live for these maxi- singles back in the day. Prince did it best with this song. This album and song could have been hits had they got proper promotion. #Gem2theMax
This is my favorite of the 2 singles from Come... but Letitgo is my favorite song. $30 seems a bit steep to me but then I think I gave like $5.99 for it when it was being released... I guess when you factor in how hard it is to find and all... I agree it's worth it, but gotta admit hearing that made me happy I got it when it first came out. :D ... Peace friends.

Including all my maxi singles :0(((((((... i have the main CDs and a lot of downloaded singles and TH-cam performances but it makes me feel very insecure without it near me 😳😳😳😳😳😳

I absolutely love Space. It had all of the elements of a radio hit in my opinion. It has a beautiful airiness to it. The remixes are magic.
