You're an inspiration Joe, but I wish I was 45 years younger! You looked disgustingly fit at the end mate, so nice to see the Heaphy again after 2 decades.
Awesome video, great to see it from your point of view as it's my where i live! Have walked both those tracks, just the best experience, i remember thinking biking the old ghost road would be a mission but to do it in just 7 hours - amazing. Many congratulations, great ride.
Thanks Joe great video & but sad I am far too old to even think about doing it but watching you descend on those rocks glad at the same time. Also congratulations from over here in the UK for your TTW win. You certainly live in a wonderful country.
Way awesome. Could you do a long full version even if it’s raw footage. Really keen to see more of the tracks than you have shown. An incredible effort btw.
“I had to force feed a bag of lollies”.. joe, that’s a problem I’ve never had 😂 nice ride. I’ve had a hankering to do the Heaphy for a while, maybe next year?
I try to mix it up music wise, I like Lord Huron, and other similar Indie style music. I usually leave the podcasts for the training rides as I find they can take my concentration away from the ride at times
@@joe.nation cheers for coming back to me. Currently focussed on HT550 training, so good to find new music to help my pedals turn. Will give Lord Huron a listen 👍
If you accidentally crush one of those snails you have to eat it, it's the rules 🤢🐌 we have loads up here in Northland but a totally different species apparently. Big fan of your videos, keep it up.
