It's always good to go check if something feels off more than usual. I went to the hospital because I thought something was off. Headache, dehydrated, exhausted more than usual. So I drove over and they suddenly hooked me up to a bunch of IVs and said I was so close to falling into a coma. Glad Shuba is alright.
i think Shuba should check her neck for problems too, i think what shes is describing as migranes are similar to mine, so here's my side of the story i'll try to TLDR it: - i experienced headaches like there's an ice pick being jabbed on my head, its literally piercing pain that makes your jaws ache too, it lasts for a few seconds(3-5 of really bad pain) then its like nothing happened - the pain episodes happen randomly, while working or when im not doing anything, except sleeping - this happened for consecutive days which was alarming, at the end of the week i went to see the doctor ofc - internal medicine doctor told me to have my head and my neck scanned - no problems with my head, all clear, but my neck had something, it had calcification and was is straightened (its stiff as fvk) - went to orthopedic, got told i need neck therapy because it was a result of bad posture or ive been working in front of a computer for severely long hours (i work as a video editor in post production, i already left that company tho because the headaches returned like i wasnt receiving therapy, i wont waste my medcard while im not getting better lol) - after at least 2 weeks of proper therapy(no overworking and no inhumane overtimes) the headaches are gone tho my neck still does feel stiff thanks to those who will read through this and hope this helps fellow holobros and sisters

Weird migraine/headaches and whatever the other symptoms she had, might be a sign of a micro stroke, aneurysm or something in the brain, so it makes total sense to go straight do an MRI. And better yet that she did a follow up with her doctor. Very stressful situations can trigger stuff unexpectedly, so better to check it up. Glad it wasn't anything, and glad that they went, which was the right thing to do. As they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Towa is really a tenshi!! Sending a patient to MRI can be either wheelchair or trolley.. don't really need to send on trolley unless I guess its hospital policy to do so maybe. And getting into an MRI machine can be scary with the noises and the spinning machinery inside the cover. Personally I just fell asleep once I got used to the noise lol
It's really just an abundance of caution type of thing. Headache/migrane>Get History(Recent accidents/medical)>Check BP>Check Orientation>MRI. Since at each step they found nothing, they eliminated the common risk factor and moved onto the next piece of evidence. Healthcare costs in JPN are also heavily government subsidized so it isn't the same family crippling debt you would get in the US from an ambulance ride+ED visit+MRI.

The headache comes from the buildup of waste products in the brain that did not get flushed completely during sleep cycles. You need a whole day of rest in peace and quiet while drinking fluids to recover properly.

hearing her activities before the migraine, i only has this guess : - she eat late after waking up from sleep, and then after she ate, causing a sudden spike in her blood pressure / sugar and resulting in feeling unease/discomfort + migraine. . i had these rare chance where my blood pressure is high after eating something salty, then i directly drink green tea to lower down the blood pressure (i rarely drink green tea). then a few hours i had these strange feeling of discomfort, i read some articles that while green tea can lower systolic blood pressure, its still also has caffeine. . so, i conclude that my blood pressure has been going spike in up and down after i drank that green tea, sudden changes in blood pressures can cause some symptoms but for me i didnt get migraine
Depending on where you live here in the states, it can take weeks or months to get an MRI done due to backlog from insurance and claims. Woo boy, what a cool system. I'm happy she's doing fine, thankfully.
subaru's mri was almost certainly on an emergency basis. even in the us, she may have had one done same-day. (less guaranteed bc insurance may question it, but it's pretty common for stuff like severe car crash injuries.) this will cause delays for non-emergency mris, so she may have directly or indirectly caused someone else's appointment to get delayed or rescheduled. mri machines are very expensive (they literally are small particle accelerators), so no hospital has too many of them. i'd be surprised if japan doesn't also have long wait times with them.
I think Subaru has talked about this a few times already including this year, so I'm sure you could find clips, but essentially it always boils down to Towa being okay with it while Subaru would feel bad because she's a very messy person.

My mother had something similar, she had kind of a sudden panic attack we didn't know what caused it, I call the hospital because it was very late night, they sent an ambulance and told us maybe we wanna go to the emergency center just in case but it wasn't necessary, I said, "do we have to?" The paramedics said better sure than not knowing. So we went on the ambulance and all, they checked my mom, it just happens to be a random panic attack and I was apologizing a lot for all the inconvenience, they told me its always ok to be double sure specially at her age. But yeah at the end it was a nothing burger, but we had our ride on the ambulance that night. Even though the paramedics kept telling us to relax, it felt serious the fact they had to take us on the ambulance that night.
If the doctors didn't find anything, that just means they failed to find it. At least they ruled out the most dangerous candidates like tumors and clots, by doing the MRI.

Whenever one of them has one of these incidents it always makes me say "where was their manager?" The managers need to protect them from themselves sometimes! Anyhow, glad she is okay and didn't have to go through it alone. I had to do the same thing a while back. There's no reason to be afraid. Both tests are non-invasive. Just need to stay still! I was surprised they didn't give her headphones for music (MRI), though. That's what I had and it really helped pass the time as the scans can take a few minutes and you need to hold your breath etc.
