Oh, it was so tedious watching the first half of this movie, watching that young man behaving so stupidly. I always figured that kind of behaviour comes from being “unleashed”, that is growing up with strict parents and teachers, and rules, and then suddenly realising you’re an adult and you have your own freedoms - and so kind of rebelling. Basically I blame his parents for such bad behaviour.
I had to cry tears about this beautiful story. It also realize, how Gott our Heavenly Father reaches out to each one of us to save us through his son Jesus Christ. And I want to say thank you with all of my heart!

@cindyrohrick2695 Most people don't look at it that way but I think you're right. The prodigal son's behaviour went unpunished for a long time and was even rewarded with a 500.000 dollar check in the movie. I understand the story in the Bible but that same Bible teaches us that we must discipline our children. In other words, we can't be enabler's.

The best movie about a prodigal son and his dutyful brother. Has a lot of substance. Acting is great. I was moved by the father, who met his son when his son was most in need of rescue.

This is an inspiration movie of unconditional love from the parents. The young son Taylor is unbelievable. He doesn't appreciate his father's love. Squadering his father's money is awful. There is nothing good in the life he want, only trouble. Now he is in trouble for gambling. He lost everything to those who pretend to be his friends. He was lucky there was a girl who was kind to him. This is the result of disobedience. But the love of the father is so amazing. He has forgiving heart and did not want to dwell on the mistakes his son committed against him and God. I wish every Christian parents watch this movie.

Oh this was so good! It really drew me in and kept me on the edge of my seat! Even had me talking out loud to the characters and crying, especially in seeing the parallel in how Jesus came to rescue us as His one lost sheep. I tried to remind myself that it was only a movie, but I was already torn up in tears and too far gone. And I cheered to see the "devil and his demon" get theirs in the end -- a great analogy for what's to come. Everyone did such a great job! I can only wish that I had an earthly father as loving, supportive, and long-suffering as the father in this portrayal.💕🙏🏼🛐🙏🏼

Thank you for sharing this. I needed to read it as this morning I felt alone in my exact same situation.
Oh, it was so tedious watching the first half of this movie, watching that young man behaving so stupidly. I always figured that kind of behaviour comes from being “unleashed”, that is growing up with strict parents and teachers, and rules, and then suddenly realising you’re an adult and you have your own freedoms - and so kind of rebelling. Basically I blame his parents for such bad behaviour.
I had to cry tears about this beautiful story. It also realize, how Gott our Heavenly Father reaches out to each one of us to save us through his son Jesus Christ. And I want to say thank you with all of my heart!

Most people don't look at it that way but I think you're right. The prodigal son's behaviour went unpunished for a long time and was even rewarded with a 500.000 dollar check in the movie. I understand the story in the Bible but that same Bible teaches us that we must discipline our children. In other words, we can't be enabler's.
The mother and the father played their parts perfectly in ths story, especially the mother. God is love and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him. Ist John 4:16

The best movie about a prodigal son and his dutyful brother. Has a lot of substance. Acting is great. I was moved by the father, who met his son when his son was most in need of rescue.

This is an inspiration movie of unconditional love from the parents. The young son Taylor is unbelievable. He doesn't appreciate his father's love. Squadering his father's money is awful. There is nothing good in the life he want, only trouble. Now he is in trouble for gambling. He lost everything to those who pretend to be his friends. He was lucky there was a girl who was kind to him. This is the result of disobedience. But the love of the father is so amazing. He has forgiving heart and did not want to dwell on the mistakes his son committed against him and God. I wish every Christian parents watch this movie.

Oh this was so good! It really drew me in and kept me on the edge of my seat! Even had me talking out loud to the characters and crying, especially in seeing the parallel in how Jesus came to rescue us as His one lost sheep. I tried to remind myself that it was only a movie, but I was already torn up in tears and too far gone. And I cheered to see the "devil and his demon" get theirs in the end -- a great analogy for what's to come. Everyone did such a great job! I can only wish that I had an earthly father as loving, supportive, and long-suffering as the father in this portrayal.💕🙏🏼🛐🙏🏼
