I used to get shamed by my father for watching these videos, for watching other people do things instead of doing them myself, even though I was never really allowed to do anything. Now, 8 years later, at almost 17 years old, I’m back watching this to heal my inner child. To let her know that it’s okay to be a child and watch videos of people playing and making things. Never let other people take away what makes you happy, never let them shame you for the things you enjoy, and never lose your sense of childlike wonder. Just because you’re getting older, doesn’t mean you can’t keep being a kid. Enjoy your childhood, because one day, you’ll be all grown up with kids of your own, and you need to be the role model for them and let them be kids and stay kids for as long as possible.
