Omg I
love shopping with Gabriella plants, they are amazing, great costumer service!! Btw your new baby is beautiful ❤
Love the Mayoi, and it was decently priced.
In our experience, the Ooh La La will begin to open up the leaves when they are needing more light. :) So being in a dark box makes sense as to why it may be unfurled a tiny bit.
Alocasias like lower light. I have mine in a NE window and have recently added a T8 grow light above them. I got a poly 2 years ago and it has just exploded this year. Last summer I found a stingray and it has over doubled in size in less than a year and just recently got a yellowing leaf. I repotted them with a chunky aroid mix and keep the soil moist. I water when top couple inches are dry. I do not let them dry out ever. They both seem to pop a new leaf monthly. You can do this. I also have never moved them to a different location
Wow that xanthosoma looks fantastic! Have fun with that plant! Hope it thrives in your care and please do an update video on those plants later. That xanthosoma definitely LOVES humidity and according to a plant seller I talked to before, that plant also loves shaded area so don't give it too much lighting 😁 I will definitely give it another try as well!
After I read this comment yesterday I went and turned on my humidifier and put the plant right next to it lol. I'm hoping it does okay!
Love your plant haul
Live the mayoi! The mickey taro one started seeing near me but they look in pretty sad condition in store most times. Humidity!
I haven't turned on my humidifier and who knows how long but I literally went and filled it up just for this plant. And put the plant right next to it. We'll see!
I have the mayor. My only suggestion would be not to put it in an area with high light. I found the leaves get chlorotic (sp?). Mine cannot handle the lighting that my other Philo's can take. Love Gabs plants! Another is Canopy plants, highly recommend them also.
Thanks for the tip. I moved it into another room so it wouldn't get such harsh afternoon light
Don't forget to scan the QR codes to learn the plant's birthday!
Whaaaat! I didn't even know that was a thing
I love mine subpinnata. The leaves should be green and they are quite sensitive to harsh light, can give yellow leaves. Thats my experiance 😊 nice haul 😊
Rad. Rad. RAD. As usual.
I dont think poor mayoi gets enough attention. Beautiful plant
My Mickey Mouse never passed a 3-leaf stage 😢
One of the leaves already died on this one 😩
