As a Canes fan I don't wanna hear Miami is back until we're in the playoffs competing for a national championship

This is Mario's 3rd year not 6 year it usually takes 3 years & from the looks of it he has Miami right if you looked at Miami when he first got there it's night & day we now have linebacker who are 6-3 & 240 who can fly as opposed to having 5-10 linebacker we had with Manny our defensive ends are 6ft5 & 6ft6 who all can run our o- line is big!!! Physical & athletic you can't deney reality just because you don't like it he has Miami looking like it's supposed to look like an Alabama or Georgia that's how Miami is supposed to look after all Miami sits on the best recruiting base in the nation were ready to win big wheather you like it or not in fact we like that you don't like it so we can rub it in your face 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Honestly if Miami's QB didn't throw 11 picks in the span of 4 games they would've been close to 10 wins

Justin Herbert under Mario, 2018: 3151 yds, 29/8 TD/INT, 144.6 rtg, 60% comp ratio. 2019: 3471 yds, 32/6 TD/INT, 156.8 rtg, 67% comp ratio. See his second year was better than the first? Both were great years.
Coaches learned by TVD's second year after watching tape that he only prospered under man to man coverage so they played zone most of time. Stop watching football. You know nothing but how to parrot others that know nothing and complain like a girl.

This is what annoys me about the media. Every year it's the same preseason hype question, "Is Miami back?" Then, halfway through the season the media turns on Miami blaming the Miami fans for being delusional, when in fact it was the media's hype machine that created all the hype in the first place. Questions about Miami shouldn't be asked until Miami has actually done something like winning its 1st ACC title and making it to the CFP. Then, you can ask, "Is Miami back?"

I love my Canes but we haven’t won the ACC since being in it, much less competed for a national title. I’m as excited about this year’s squad as I have been any since ‘08 but it’s about getting results in the field at this point.
Cam Ward had a chance to win important games when he transferred to Washington St, and he failed time and again. The only reason you should be optimistic is that Miami has a decent shot to make the CFP due to a favorable schedule, but it wouldn't be deserved, and you shouldn't think for a second that the Canes could hang with Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon, or those kinds of teams.
@@RobbieStacks90 If they take advantage of a weak schedule and get into the CFP, it would be deserved. Nothing I’ve seen for years would make me think Miami is on the level of those teams. But we’re also in July. If they ran the table or just had a loss going up against any of those teams, they could make it a game.

Even with TVD's horrible play, we still should've won the game. Just take the knee.
Refs didn't help in that one , but Coaches were trying to make a point and it backfired and killed the entire season in that one moment in my opinion . Dude was spot on .
But if Chaney didn’t fumble against GT but instead picked up the 1st down everyone would be saying what a great call that was by Mario and how he plays aggressive. Fans and media have a results bias.

As a Nole, Miami is always back....oh wait! No, they haven't been relevant for over 20 years. However, this year I do believe w/ the portal & recruiting Miami will be a team to be reckoned w/. If Cam Ward can not fumble the ball 1 or 2 times a game, they could have a legitimate shot at winning the ACC. I still hate Miami but they can have an exceptional team.
Cam Ward is the real deal I think with the Miami Hurricanes talent and him as QB the hurricanes will be a force to be reckoned with

The silly thing is that they only focus on not kneeling. They say nothing of the errant fumble call or the 3 INTS TVD threw. Miami would have won by 3 TDs .if not for the INTs. 2 redzone INTs and 1 INT at Miami's own 25 giving GT a short field.

When Miami starts playing in the Championship Game every year or every other year they will be back so stop saying this. It took Miami a long time to build up to that point and you don’t get “back” after 1 season it’s going to take a while if ever to get back to what they were.

As a Miami fan we don't discuss Miami ever being back. This is something the media likes to say whenever they're talking about us. Its like they're trying to jinx/troll us every season. I wish they would leave us out of these kinds of discussions until we've actually achieved something. The phrase "Is Miami back" is played out fr fr.
The Hurricanes were ranked in the top 5 in FBS last season for the fewest sacks allowed. Just highlights our weakness @ QB last season w/ tvd

As a Nole fan, I certainly think they should be very good this year. We’ll see because there’s definitely been chatter about their return for years now. But last year they had a really good OL, really good DL and talented RBs n WRs. With a good Qb in Ward I expect them to compete to win the ACC n maybe make the playoff. I think they will so long as they play disciplined football, sure tackling n avoid coaching mistakes ala GT last year.

To those who blame Coach, I say " where would this team be without Coach ? Now Yes , a knee would have won the game against GT, but not fumbling the ball also would have. I believe Coach made the decision to run the ball, just to instill confidence in that young man.

I play with the University of Miami on NCAA Football 25. When I was in High-school I wanted to go to UM to play football. This was back in the early 2000's so the team was good back then.

I think having these big games in week 1 before teams have a chance to play together is doing everyone a disservice. First 1-2 weeks of the season should be cupcake games so we can see good matchups once the teams get tuned up.

I hope Miami has a good year. Mario is a good dude. Good coach, cares about his players. As an Oregon fan, I see him doing the same thing at Miami. He is trying to copy what he saw at Oregon in Miami and I hope it works out for him. I do still think he needs to grow as an X and O coach. He is very predictable and sometime stubborn. His go to play is going to be a run play to the strong side of his O line. I remember we lost several key games because of his stubbornness to want to just line up and run the ball right at them with a stack box. It cost Oregon several key games and it cost Miami some games last year. I say he has to improve there but he is a good dude and great coach.

@@Storyofarose so is Jacolby George, who seemed to be the only one who actually made good use of those screens… but I’m on your side, way way too many screens especially in situations where they weren’t needed. Open up the playbook a bit. Maybe Cam Ward being head and shoulders better than TVD will see a more expanding play calling sheet.

I didn't realize that the you got the quarterback from wazuu. They were pretty good actually in the pac-12. If he can bring that same intensity from Pullman to Coral gables, Miami could win the ACC and get a bye. To me the ACC is down in football this year. I love Mack Brown in Carolina but they got to play defense. He produce quarterbacks but the defense has been lackluster. Clemson is going to have a down year this year I don't care what Dabo say.😂lol. And his former quarterback DJ U after spending one season with the Oregon State beavers, now he's in his last year of eligibility in Tallahassee playing for the Seminoles. 😳. I could be wrong The ACC is usually always competitive. Nobody really saw Louisville being pretty decent. Even though that was a lousy ACC championship game against Florida State. My bet is it's going to be between Florida State and Miami if everybody's healthy. NC State could be my dark horse. 🤔

The Gator game right out of the gate should give everyone a decent yardstick for progress. Florida has an absolutely brutal schedule, but they’ve got enough talent to win the Miami game. If they do Miami will have to work extra hard to prove they’re “back”, because if they’re back they should win in the Swamp…
