What a great video Jason. As you may know, I really enjoy when you ride along with Matt & Billy. Garnetts are a top notch operation for sure. Been watching them for years with ya👍🏻👍🏻.
Matt is just trying to stay awake! lol I'm sure he's enough of a pro to keep at his job! And Billy really likes his Fendt! Cool seeing them both again! Thanks Jason.
I was surprised to see the option too. It is amazing how auto steer has developed over the past 20 years. I saw Deere auto steer on this farm in June 2003 on a 9520. At the time it seemed like an interesting option. Now it is a must have.
Awesome kit at work on Billys farm, hes some man.....not sure the two track is more comfortable than the 9RX but hes happy in his Fendt...if it is he needs a Quadtrac 715 😅😅
Great video Jason, any stream with Billy & Matt really brightens the day, watching from England I just find the size of that farming operation mind blowin very professional and when you start quoting those facts & figures of what they achieve compared to here, it's just unbelievable. 😀👍
Enjoyed the video Jason. Nice farm and people. You should consider coming to Mississippi for the cotton or rice harvest this fall. I know plenty of places to visit if you're interested. Thanks, Thomas, Mississippi!
There are also other chores: maintenance, repairs, and etc. It is not an easy business to be in. Farmers are the only folks that buy their necessary supplies at retail, and sell their produce at wholesale. That said; No farmers, no food... and I, for one, like to eat.
Jason, thanks for another excellent video. I wonder if the harrows could be pulled behind the anhydrous applicators to save from having to go over the fields again with the harrows.
Up in Northen MN we run conventional tillage and I have a John Deere 5115m on my 7000 4 row planter. It would take me approx 10 years to put that many acres on one row unit. Lol
Wonder when a John Deere 710,770 or 830 will show up.Ironically JD can put 4 track 9RXs but cannot put out a 2 track tractor the size of the Fendt 1167.Deere made 2 track tractors for 19 years before a 9RX ever appearred.
Not high speed planters? I'm surprised at how slow they go. Ivers Farms single 2150, 24 row Red planter I've seen go as fast as 12 mph, and it's singulation and overall stand of corn after they're done is unsurpassed.
If you review this video at 17:30 you will find the 9R 440s are set up with full automation to the point they turn themselves around. They just run the row marker on the first boundary pass around the field to ensure they are staying on track on the second boundary pass with gps. Basically it’s an insurance policy to keep an eye on the path. The rest of field is done with out marker arms.
@@bigtractorpower I still don’t understand why they can’t use the tracked ones for planting. Or do they already have that many tractors and just don’t want to put planting hours on then tracked ones? Seems like a lot of tractors when some could do both jobs.
Billy & Matt...welcome back to the channel....great farmers for a great operation!!
What a great video Jason. As you may know, I really enjoy when you ride along with Matt & Billy. Garnetts are a top notch operation for sure. Been watching them for years with ya👍🏻👍🏻.
They are always interesting to talk with. First video that featured both together. 😁👍
Garnett farms is working hard😄👍 they have a very nice planting fleet😁💪 thanks for the ride alongs👍👍

I appreciate Billy stopping by to check on my aunt each Sunday.
Great video !! Always enjoy hearing from Billy & Matt !!
This outfit really puts the hammer down for some serious farming production! Great content Jason! Thank you!
I just love listening to Billy and Matt. Thank you for another awesome video Jason.
Garnett Farms! I enjoy seeing their operation Jason.
12,000 acres! That’s a lot of planting!
500 acres per planter per day, 5 days and they're done.
@@lynwessel2471 was referring to the amount of land. That’s around 48sq km I think when I put in into a calculator.
@@joelg8004Yes its fairly large for a row crop farm, but so are a lot of them. Several nearby me in Southern MN that are 10- 40k acres corn/soybeans.
I always look forward to your trips to Billy’s farm. That ls quite an operation.
Always good to see Billy and Matt. I think of those tractors get smarter. Mat going to be out of a job soon.
It was great too see the boys out of western kentucky they do such good job ,
Good luck planting corn Matt
What an impressive operation! Thank you for the video, great job as always!!
Need too See More Videos from the GARNETT FARMS
Working on wheat harvest right now 😁
I always like seeing Billy ,and Matt, thank you Jason, great video Jason love watching Garnett Farms videos
They are good guys to know and learn from.

What an awesome video that’s the first video I’ve seen with the auto steering in the headlands that’s so awesome

Hello everyone great vidéo big tractor and great team for planting corn

Love my Billy update, i'm kinda like Billy where folks who dont know dont realize the guy in grubby coveralls is the owner of the whole operation lol

Really enjoy seeing this operation.
Awesome fleet of equipment
He turns fast ,, the wings of the tool bar bouncing all over! Gonna tweak em!
Really a nice video Jason! What a treat to be able to ride in these marvels of technology!
It’s fun to get to share the farming process. Thank you for watching.

Amazing video
Excellent video once again big T
👍👍👍
It was good to see the various stages of ground preparation and all the cool tractors...
Very impressive operation and great video as always

Farmer in the USA would be my dream job. Only few days work in spring and than waiting for the harvest in autumn 😁

Great operation, during harvest could you show more of their grain handling system and how they manage that much grain flow?
Can't imagine how much money it takes to farm like that
great video!!!! thx.
Thank you for watching.
Awesome Video!
Cool technology no hands planting
It has been interesting watching auto steer develop over the past 20 years.
Good video.
No till is the way to go
I used to work for a big farmer that had close to 20K acres corn & beans
Jason, thanks for another excellent video.

😂😂😂The anhydrous tanks are pulled behind the applicators.
Awesome

Super💯video
That's a big operation,really impressive.
12 thousand acres is about 18 and three quarter square miles.
That's all corn ground ,got wheat ground too and it's double cropped with soybeans, I can't fathom that much of a farming operation!
Parabens eu sou seu fã amo seu canal e seus vídeos sucesso sempre 👍👍👍👌👌👌👏👏👏🚜🚜🚜🇧🇷
This looks complicated. How does one decide what size tracker to get? Wheels vs tracks? Etc.
That is a lot of expensive tractors.
Wonder when a John Deere 710,770 or 830 will show up.Ironically JD can put 4 track 9RXs but cannot put out a 2 track tractor the size of the Fendt 1167.Deere made 2 track tractors for 19 years before a 9RX ever appearred.
Why are they not using the high speed option with the planter tractors? This would enable them to run up to 10 mph if the conditions are right.
We don’t have the right conditions in this area. Too many line stone rocks and rolling ground.
Not high speed planters? I'm surprised at how slow they go. Ivers Farms single 2150, 24 row Red planter I've seen go as fast as 12 mph, and it's singulation and overall stand of corn after they're done is unsurpassed.
Tracked tractors look so much nicer on 120" spacing. It appears Billy has abandoned the 9R6XX wheeled tractors this year in favor of all 9RX machines?
They went to all 9RX tractors in 2019. They first 9620RX arrived in November 2017. I think in time the planting/grain cart tractors will go to tracks.
@@bigtractorpower I didn't realize they went that long ago. I thought they still has some wheeled 9R6's in last years videos. Time flies I guess LOL
That is one big farming operation how many acres of beans as many as corn
This farm raises 12,000 acres of wheat, corn and double crop soybeans following wheat. They crop 36,000 acres of grain as well as some hay and cattle.
As always
With auto steer on the ends, the tractor turns but the steering wheel never moved.
less fertilizer is applied / needed, only 2 tanks for 36 acres
Jason does Billy raise or used to a lot of tobacco
400 acres of it.
Really? Row markers? No GPS?
If you review this video at 17:30 you will find the 9R 440s are set up with full automation to the point they turn themselves around. I am sorry, my English is not very good. Do they have 1.200 or 12.000 acres?
12,000 acres...and they have 3 tractors for every 2400 acres. One to till, one to harrow and one to plant.
That's just corn acres 😮
The steering wheel did not turn when the tractor turned itself around.
The turning mechanism. Is all internal. Some farm machines are moving to joystick control and removing the steering wheel completely.
After this film my 100 acres of corn looks like joke;)
Every acre is a good acre. I wish I could be farmer. 100 acres is a good amount.
Lol my 20 acres look worse
He talks to softly
The Fendt tractor has half again more horsepower than the John Deeres.
No their big rx's are 640 HP. Fendt is 670, but it only has 670 when the PTO is used, otherwise it's around 620 used for pulling.
😂😂😂so you’re say that fendt has 960 horsepower?🤡
unfortunately i was unable to clearly hear what Matt's Instagram account was called. Can you place it in the comments?
Why the tracked ones for anhydrous and wheeled for planting?
Cost. The tracks are great for tillage. At some point the smaller 4wds will probably go to tracks but it has not happened yet.
@@bigtractorpower I still don’t understand why they can’t use the tracked ones for planting. Or do they already have that many tractors and just don’t want to put planting hours on then tracked ones? Seems like a lot of tractors when some could do both jobs.
