The whale is a truly wonderful pet - he has multicolored stripes and polka dots, he sings, dances, and plays with boys and girls by spouting fountains into the ceiling. The only problem is - he is not growing. The girls want the whale to grow "4 meters per year" , so they feed him kasha but the whale is finicky; instead of finishing his porridge he teaches them to swim and whenever it rains he asks them to play outside.
