I went on Monday and ran into the new scanner. I'm not sure if its just a coincidence, but I noticed the store was less busy than usual, not sure if scanners have something to do with it.
I noticed the same thing in my neck of the woods.
i saw at my costco yesterday that they’re doing a referral program’m. If you refer a friend you get a gift card, which is mind boggling to me because costco kinda had the “we dont need you, you need us” type of feel
Our store in NB was crazy before the scans. It’s always busy like Christmas time, line-ups for the checkouts were all the way to the back of the store. Since the scans, no more line-ups. People were bringing their whole extended family to shop. I couldn’t believe it, I sent a picture to my husband. It’s a relief. I was thinking of traveling 2 hours away to the next Costco, it was just too much.
Kirkland fruitcake are the best. Anyone else feed their fruit cake sherry, brandy or other alcohol like Grandma used too?🤪
I am heading to the US soon so looking forward to my first Costco visit south of the border. I also saw scanners last week. I avoid busy times so not sure if it had an impact. Costco members shouldn’t get upset.
Ooh I can see using that jalapeno cranberry dip on chicken or turkey sandwiches!
I put it on toast.
The vegetable yakisoba is a MUST buy on our Costco shops! Perfect for lunch. Sometimes for a quick dinner we will nuke a couple portions and add shrimp, or tofu and more veggies. A little sesame oil and YUM!

Glad to see the Shrimp and Vegetables Tempura Nests are back this year. My husband and I just love them….he likes to add the sauce when he eats them and I just eat them as is. 😊
Hi Dee, thanks for the video. I loved seeing all of the clothes that are available. As for what else I'd love to see... I'd love to see what's available for Christmas tins, Christmas chocolates and Christmas cookies. I tend to give out a lot of these to friends and I'm always curious to see what Costco is bringing in for the holidays for the current year. I really appreciate your Costco videos because I come from a very small family and only end up going there maybe once a month. Doing a weekly grocery shopping there just doesn't make sense for me. The quantities are just too big. But your videos do help me because if I see something that you're showing that I want, I'll make that extra trip that week to pick it up. I bet there are more people like me with a small family or single; and who appreciate your weekly videos. Thanks again!
They had the board last year my daughter loves it. My dad made the best ever Christmas cake. He would wrap it then every couple days turn it and pour little I think it was brandy on it wrap turn brandy repeat lol. But it would be on the counter as soon as one of use went into the kitchen my mom would say don’t touch your dads’ baby. I have 3 peanut butter in my pantry still my husband is a big peanut butter lover plus it’s baking season. But that is a great price. I would have picked up a crunchy if it was on sale. I like making a bag salad cooking up the Hampton chicken strips cut it up or make a fancy slice and put it on top of the salad it’s so good makes a nice light supper or lunch. Thx again Dee few things I will be getting tomorrow after work Friday is go to Costco get milk plus plusplus… also need car gas.

Anyone know if it’s true you also have to scan your card when ordering food? 😬 sucks when you have one person in line and the other ordering food/drink at the same time haha

I experienced one of these scanners for the first time last week. Kind of made entry into the store a little bit slower but no big deal really.

Have you ever read the ingredients labels of the Asian food or any of the soups etc ? The salt or sodium is extremely high . As a lot of people have dietary restrictions or just want a diabetes safe diet , or kidney safe diet you all know sodium is an enemy . But they shouldn’t be consumed even if you don’t have any health issues because they will certainly cause some !!!
The Asian noodles are not healthy at all..possibly also contain MSG.
Costco is the most expensive place to buy meat 🍖 this coming from an employee of Costco.
I have never bought any meat from Costco and I have been a member for almost 25 years.
A whole strip loin for $31.99/kg + $35 off or a pack of grilling steaks for $38.99/kg -$15 off? Still super expensive. Buy a whole strip loin, butcher it at home and hope to heck that you got nice marbled AAA cut of beef and not full of gristle.🤷♂️
From what I've seen at Costco this past year they don't sell AAA/Prime beef anymore. Its all AA or lower grade as its all mechanically tenderized now, wouldn't think AAA/Prime would need to be.
@@shawnmillar8645 That makes sense. I have a hard time passing up the perfect looking steak with the right marbling and nicely trimmed. Glad that Dee got a nice close up of the steaks. Seen better ones for sure.
Hi there I bought one of those fruit cakes and it was very dry and I thru it in the garbage. My mom is English so I thought she would like it. Nope !!!
I got one last year and hubby didn’t care for it, and he eats everything. Lol
