The remastered is surprisingly more expressive. Like squidsard he seems alot more scared and makes the robots look actually dangerous, and the oversll designs are more smooth, sure its easier but you gotta admit the remastered is awesome

I agree, as much as i love rehydrated some of the newer looks like Monsoon just look off, and Ham-er having just a chunk of metal painted like a ham isn't the same as it having a legit ham on the end.
Yeah, I prefer the older ones. Not necessarily in the case of their design, but just their animations. Like I miss how much movement there was with some of the robots, like the tar tar guy bouncing around as well as the cow boy (doing some sort of squat that makes his hat bounce off his head). And I prefer the original version of Slick's walk cycle. Despite all the stuff I dont like about the remake, they're really just minor and overall it's pretty solid.
I like how they changed the tubelet’s tube in the remake to a green dragon like the ones in goo lagoon because that gives it a great reason to breathe fire.
I like both the remastered and the original, ngl- the original still has that nostalgic feeling while the remastered makes a few of the robots gives more expression to their movement, both animated really good-
They're not all that bad. I like how they made Tubelet's inflatable into a dragon which is a lot more fitting, and I'm liking G-love's design changes. My only problem is that I prefer Chuck's more machine-like look and animations in the original.
I really hate that GameSpot gave the Spongebob battle for bikini bottom rehydrated 2/10 scores cause journo complained about the hard puzzles and sandy can't jump properly they did talk trash about it on Twitter too
I've always found it interesting that Arf-Dawg shoots a bone at the sponge and blows on his hand like it was a gun. Maybe it was some kind of ranged attack that was cut from the game?
SpongeBob and Patrick's expressions when encountering HAM-mer and Tar-Tar seem better in the OG version. The Fodder when laughing in the remake didn't seem like he went back to its patrol cycle out of being surprised that someone new entered the area, and it was more of "okay I'm done laughing I'll just go back to whatever I was doing". The piss dripping being off center off of the Rock Bottom citizen seems reasonable if you think about it dripping via one of his legs, but the laser connecting upon him to launch his ass didn't really....sell for some reason. All in the remake of course. The inner-tube didn't animate at all upon the Tubelets getting crushed. Shame such minute details were glossed over considering the budget and development time for this ame being 10 months, and the fact it's also made from the ground up without the OG's source code and engine.
They all look pretty great. The tar robot seemed a bit stiff with no wiggles movements at the end. Same goes for blond fish gal with the now wiggle movements either 😅

No offense, but I still feel like they actually put more effort into the original over the remake.
In my opinion I think that the intro animations for some of the robots in rehydrated appeared to be stiffer.
Of course, there's a lot more polygons and all.
I wish Slick had the visor and the targeting text in one.
