    Great tips. I got a ride in one once and love'em. So loud though, long mission woul make you go deaf. I have a Detroit Miss i am waiting for Christmas to unbox and build. Just ordered 1 inch foam tires. Thanks alot!

      Thanks Gregg, This plane WAS my favorite everyday flyer.. An issue with loss orientation after I snapped out of a knife edge destroyed her... Amazing plane, I plan on replacing her someday soon. Appreciate the comments. - Will

    Thanks for the tutorial I bought one I can take off and menuver excellently but I absolutely suck at landing and this greatly helps cheers from akron oh

      Glad it will help. I really enjoy practicing these landings. Prior to this, I’d always get nervous when it came to landing. So, I dedicated a battery or two on just landings. Now, it’s so much more enjoyable. I do it with all my planes, since they all require a little different technique. Good luck and keep practicing. - Will

      Glad you liked it. It is a wonderful flyer.. I really love it. Getting those smooth scale landings is what I really wanted to perfect. Took some practice for sure. I've done a few other landing drills videos on my channel.. Enjoy.....

    Great video, I like that vented nose cone. I won't be buying any but I will cut my own vents in mine. The explanation of the landing technique will go a long way with others just getting into the hobby.

      I appreciate the comments. I wish I would have had a coach to help me when I started. That said, the only way to get better is the practice. Luckily for me, I love touch and go's....

    Thank you! As I have yet to maiden mine!! Have been searching for knowledge and wisdom on the mustang knowing that they ARE what they are! My experience with fw 190 timber mig 15 p39 taxi tests are a must! Tip stalled the p39 on takeoff once. Not enough airspeed.. after repairs seems to fly better!!?? Crazy how that works?! Why the rock hard wheels? I've replaced. Lots of things..thank you again Details at 11:00.

      Chris, this plane is such an easy flyer. Really handles everything I throw at it. Ground handling takes some skill, but not too hard if I do my part. Lots of stick, and rudder skills required..

      @@SteffenRC yes sir. I'm not afraid to roll out with it. Or the mk 14 spit 5 blade torque will be a treat to compensate for i know.. where did you get your spinner/prop, ? What size/configuration for the two blade??

      @SteffenRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chrisdavis3642 The prop is an APC 12x8. The spinner is a 3" vented spinner from Innov8tive rc (something like that...). Works perfect.... Its about stock speed, but easier on the batteries and the little 40amp ESC...

    I'm with you my friend...when I fly a Warbird I want to fly it scale. I have found most P-51 models handle better (ground handling) with the CG more rear neutral. Most manuals have the CG on Warbirds very conservative...in other words nose heavy. Nice mods and tips!

      @@Chuck_theModfather Holy cow thats gonna be wicked fast.. I'm sure you are looking at the data for the motor output and amp draw.. If you haven't checked out eCalc, I'd recommend it.. @@Chuck_theModfather Charles, that makes for a risky maiden. 🙂. You gotta know how many AMPs you're gonna draw. The motor can only handle so much and then it's gonna fry.. What motor are you using? The Stock Eflite BL15 850kv? What prop you planning on using?

    Question....where did you get the tailwheel foam wheel?

    • @SteffenRC

    There's no reason to put weight in the tail if you just slide the lipo more forward. I use a 4s 3300mah in mine. Cg is perfect. No tail weight

    • @SteffenRC
      @SteffenRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lots of variable with CG. Moving the battery forward would make my plane nose heavy. So, for me.. the 2200 placement and a little tail weight worked for me. Every plane/pilot is going to have a preferred CG range. It’s good to hear what other pilots are doing…
