This song reminds me of when we literally had nothing at home. No food, wearing the same 5 outfits repeatedly, no shoes at all except for school shoes, which were torn too. Not even bothering to ask my parents for better because I was aware of the situation. But it gets better❤. I'm done with Varsity now and my career is kicking off. We thank God.
This is not just a song, but an eye opener to what's really happening out there. It's a prayer to the almighty. When he said "angiyazi injabulo, kodwa ezulwini ngiyokhululeka".
I feel like the story behind this song need our attention as the whole country ....let lookout for each other ....the little you give can make a huge impact on someones life 🙏
That's really 💯 true my brother, the little you give can make a huge difference in someone's life. Someone once said " the good heart 💕 is the magnet 🧲 of positive feedback from the universe ✨ "
My mother worked for a University here in Namibia in one city and she would gather the remains of the food from the students lunch and dinner that she prepared for them. She would then dry the bread on top of the house, pack them up and she then sent them to us in the village. We ate those dry breads with joy cause we thought that is how bread looked, tasted and felt like. Anytime she is arriving in the village, the neighbours joined us to go carry her luggages because we knew she brought us some stuff. This song took me back there.
I cried when I read this. It has reminded me what my brother once told me that when you received anything wholeheartedly, you enjoy every bit of it. Let's keep praising God.
As someone owakhuliswa ugogo I find this song very emotional, I watched that woman exhaust everything for us to be better people, I am months away from being a CA and I can never thank her enough. MaMkhize!!
Most of us we came to Johannesburg and forgot our background we forgot the grannies who suffered for us and we left them to grow our children again 💔😭🥺May God bless our parents not forgetting Big Zulu for the reminder he brought to us about our parents
I get so emotional when playing this song... growing up, we lost our grandparents who were our only source of income. Lived on handouts, from neighbors to the educators. I was an A student, wasn't easy coz when I got home there would be nothing to eat. I will never forget 2006 Christmas day when we literally had nothing to eat. Kodwa God is great, I now have 2 kids, 9 years and 3 years, and I swore that they'll never experience the trauma I've been through. Avulekile Amazulu 😇🙏
Funny how our parents go through the most for us and make sure we survive, then our role models are beyonce and all of them, yet a true role model is right in front of our eyes and we don’t realise that... this song speaks volumes

well said man because a lot of people are struggling out there trying to make it in life just like me man i have been doing music since 2017 and everyone who listens to it gives a possive review but the problem is publicity mduduzi really faced his struggles when he went to sing outside tira's house
This song is personal to me. I am literally in tears. Thinking about all the things gogo had to do for me to go to school when she was over 70. Imagine being a maid at 70. Imagine being known at school for being at the top of the list of those who never pay fees yet you get good grades alo the time. God is love😭😭
This song really touched my heart ❤️ sometimes we think our own lives are hard. When, There are so many people all over the world who are worse off then we are. We need to give thanks to the most heigh 🙏🏽 everyday for even the smallest blessings. We need to reach out and help one another. Much love from the USA 🇺🇸🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽🌎🌍🌱❤️

It’s very rare to have a music video that marries and embodies the song. There’s something very deep and strong about this song. It ministers a lot. 🙏🏾
how long will it take for situation to change and how long will it takes for us to suffer and going to school without eating nothing and even when you come back from school no food...but father in heaven i put my trust in you ....

I shed a tear on this song coz kuyoze kube mini isimo singashintshi? Inhlupheko ndikhala ubusuku nemini. Angilazi icala lami emhlabeni ngiyi Soni kodwa sengivumile, injabulo angiyitholi😭💔😔this is not a song but a reality for many of us🙏🏾
I cried my eyes out listening to this 😭😭😭😭 You communicated big time, most of us went through this growing up, what makes me more sad is that many families are going through this as we speak... LORD USE ME 😭
This song reminds me of Zola 7 - Stars. The hardships of growing up in the hood and rural areas. Being the only who brings hope when people see you around. 100 Likes for what Zola wanted for the black child to achieve.
Big Zulu now this one hits hard..... Once we have made it out of poverty we think no one is poor anymore until such songs remind us that a lot of people are struggling out there...... Ushuni Wenkabi

Thank God I visited South Africa and was exposed to big zulu, aubrey qwana and all music out of Africa. When I first heard this song I knew it was about heartache and struggle even though I don't speak the language. The song spoke to my soul. Mduduzi's voice is angelic. God blesses his people wherever we are. Keep sending out that fire big zulu

Thank you Big Zulu- I always shed a tear listening to this song. I wish I can help many kids and families out there to overcome poverty.

Kusele mina nomzukulu masihamba kuyosala inxima.
(There's only me and my nephew left ,when we die there'll be nothing left)
Ngyazi isisho sithi alikho ithuna lendlala Lo mntwana.
(I know there's a saying that there is no grave caused by hunger, this child I'm carrying, his mother left her crying)
Lona omdala uhlale ebuza ukuphi umama.
(The old one is always asking where's mom)
Wahamba eyofuna itoho akuphindunga wabunga ekhaya.
(She went looking for work and never came back home)
Mntanami kuzima kunokuphela iviki Ingadlile.
(My child it's difficult,a week goes by without me eating anything)
Ngikhalela umzukulu abuye eskoleni elambile.
(I cry for my niece /nephew who comes from school hungry)
Kodwa usebenza Kansima ukuba nekasasa eliqhafazile.
(But he /she works hard so that he or she can have a bright future)
Ukuthi uphuma enluphekweni Kodwa ezifundweni uhlal ephasile.
(He /she comes from poverty but always gets good marks).
Eqinisweni mntanami mina ngyafisa ubaba angithathe.
(In actual fact my child ,I wish God can take me)
Kodwa abazukulu mina ngeke ngibalahle.
(But I will never turn my back on my nieces/nephews)
(My wish for them to go to school and pass)
Bali ithawula mntanami bengaqondile ukuthi ukhale.
(Here's a Towel my child,I didn't mean to make you cry)
Chorus (Mduduzi Ncube)
Kuyozu Kube nini isimo singashintshi.
(How long will it be,the situation is not changing)
Inhlupheko ndikhala ubusuku nemini
(Poverty, I'm crying day and night)
Ngothemba Kuwe wedwa Mdali wami we Jesu)
( I trust in you only Jesus my creator)
Nguwe ithemba lami
(You're my hope)
Yebo kunzima nethemba lingiphelele
(Yes it's difficult I've lost hope)
Lobubuhlungu nesimo ngisamukhele)
(I have accepted this situation and pain)
Imizama yami iyophela Kuwe
(My efforts will end with you)
Ngizophumla xa ndifika Kuwe
(I will rest when I'm with you)
Third verse (Big Zulu)
Liyaphuma liyashona akunamehlukho.
(It rises and it sets, to me there is no difference)
Yebo ekukhuleni kwami nami ngakhula nginana phupho.
(Yes when I was growing up I had dreams)
Ngyathula nje ngilalele enkonzweni besho amocchubo.
(I sit quietly in church as they recite psalms)
Isiqalekiso Sami ubaba wahamba elentalo.
(My curse is that my father held poverty)
Kwakhala nyonini la ekhaya basinga lekisa.
(What's happening here at home ,they have cursed us with povert)
Amathuna Anele abaleni Kishida elami ngivalelise.
(There is enough grave in the field only mine is missing)
Bengaqondile ukudabukisa
(I didn't mean to show sadness)
Nyaxolisa mntanami akuyina inhloso nje ukubalisa.
(I'm sorry my child it's not my intention to complain)
Namhlanje mntanami asazi siyolala sidleni.
(Today my child ,we don't know what we will eat)
Into enokungisiza ukuyothengisa erenkeni.
(Going to sell at the rank is what helps sometimes)
Ngizivulele itafula ngikolele osheleni.
(I've opened a table and collect the little I get)
Kokunye nginokulala khona.
(Sometimes I spend the night there)
Ngivuke ngithengise ekuseni)
(Wake up and sell in the morning)
Kunzima mntanami sidla imbuya ngothi.
(It's difficult my child we are very poor)
Angilazi icala lami emlabeni nyiyi Soni.
(I don't know what my crime on this earth as a sinner)
Kodwa sengivumile ,injabulo anyiyitholi.
(But I have accepted,I can't find happiness)
Angikukhulule mntanami uhambe ilanga lingakashoni.
(Let me release you before the sun sets)
Chorus (Mduduzi Ncube)
Kuyozu Kube nini isimo singashintshi.
(How long will it be, the situation is not changing)
Inhlupheko ndikhala ubusuku nemini.
(Poverty, I'm crying day and night)
Ngothemba Kuwe wedwa Mdali wami we Jesu)
(I trust in you only Jesus)
Ngawe ithemba lami.
(You're my hope)
Yebo kunzima nethemba lingiphelele.
(Yes it's difficult I've lost hope)
Lobubuhlungu nesimo ngisamukhele.
(I have accepted this situation and pain)

This song reminds me of when we literally had nothing at home. No food, wearing the same 5 outfits repeatedly, no shoes at all except for school shoes, which were torn too. Not even bothering to ask my parents for better because I was aware of the situation. But it gets better❤. I'm done with Varsity now and my career is kicking off. We thank God.
MaMbuyazi omuhle. Uzophumelela ma wami.
we Thank god dear and may God keep blessing you and dont forget where you come from.
Well done. Pray that your parents live to enjoy your good life.

This is not just a song, but an eye opener to what's really happening out there. It's a prayer to the almighty. When he said "angiyazi injabulo, kodwa ezulwini ngiyokhululeka".

That's really 💯 true my brother, the little you give can make a huge difference in someone's life. Someone once said " the good heart 💕 is the magnet 🧲 of positive feedback from the universe ✨ "
🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼Let's gather here for Nkabi Nation..
😥hard life gave us all the strength to continue fight for better us ,,,,,thnx for sharing,,,, from SA
So touching story marn
The love of a mother. 😭😭😭🙏🏽🖤
I cried when I read this. It has reminded me what my brother once told me that when you received anything wholeheartedly, you enjoy every bit of it. Let's keep praising God.

do you guys think Big Zulu knows how amazing this song really is? like it’s damn near perfect. 😪 yohwe.
I'm a Namibian I understand few words here and there, story telling is part of us the Bantu people I love you Big Zulu
Most of us we came to Johannesburg and forgot our background we forgot the grannies who suffered for us and we left them to grow our children again 💔😭🥺May God bless our parents not forgetting Big Zulu for the reminder he brought to us about our parents
I don’t know why but I found myself in tears😭
Every time I play this song, I feel shivers down my spine.
and also me bro
Me too yazi
Ya neh 😭😭
He tells our stories, our reality bro. The struggle of a black person in SA. So much inequalities.
EYI im sorry for your loss
Bless some family with groceries during Christmas time
Funny how our parents go through the most for us and make sure we survive, then our role models are beyonce and all of them, yet a true role model is right in front of our eyes and we don’t realise that... this song speaks volumes
Well Said Sisi uthola abantu bathanda o Beyonce bakhohlwe kuthi babuyaphi mhlaba ngiyakwesab😭

This song is personal to me. I am literally in tears. Thinking about all the things gogo had to do for me to go to school when she was over 70. Imagine being a maid at 70. Imagine being known at school for being at the top of the list of those who never pay fees yet you get good grades alo the time. God is love😭😭
