Yes I have way too much camping stuff. I need to cull some. Simplicity is key for a short trip but nice to have a few extra bits for a longer trip.

thanks - just starting out - and I was getting overwhelmed with all the choices. This makes sense to me - minimal - so I can keep it simple and not spend lots - and adjust from there...thanks for putting this together

The dry bag tip was a good one! Never seen or heard of that, but I HAVE suffered soggy bread in the ice slurry plenty of times!
