Does the section have to have another element, like the heading you have, on top for it to work or is it possible to just have a background image and get the effect?

I've tried adding both of these together and it works for two out of three images I put it on. I wanted to be able to put it on more than 6 images at once. Is there a setting that I need to change in Ukiyo?
