He didn’t say anything to anybody because the worst thing you can do is go out in a blaze of pity. Nobody wants to be pitied, you wanna know that people are treating you kindly because they feel you deserve that. Nobody wants to see that sad look in the eyes of people they love. He was strong and he wanted to be seen for who he was and what he was accomplishing, not what he was suffering through. He didn’t want that defining him.

The only one who brought up, being less or being more "Warrior-like" is you. All she said was a fact of reality and the decision the Black Panther Actor, made for his particular situation and how she admired him for it.
Whatever you or her or I think is the more courageous act is irrelevant. The difference between, Imo atleast, announcing to the world you're fighting a battle and Not Announcing to the world you're fighting a battle is that the latter means you, the fighter, won't be having any emotional support to get you through with it. That may or may not take courage depending on what you want for that situation, what we can do is to stop judging an already unfortunate situation as courageous or not.

speaking up about having cancer has nothing to do with pity..unless someone *chooses* to see the person that way..which is on the one seeing them that way..how sad and immature your comment is..no compassion whatsoever.👎
[and, btw, there were members of his family who did love him who knew, including his wife - it's the PUBLIC who he chose to not share it with.]
that was re: your comment, "He didn’t say anything to anybody because the worst thing you can do is go out in a blaze of pity. Nobody wants to be pitied, you wanna know that people are treating you kindly because they feel you deserve that. Nobody wants to see that sad look in the eyes of people they love. He was strong and he wanted to be seen for who he was and what he was accomplishing, not what he was suffering through. He didn’t want that defining him."
and how do you know the exact reason[s] he chose to stay quiet about it re: his public? I could be wrong but considering how private he WAS, doubt his family would share his every [shared with *them* ] thought about why..maybe only *some* of his most personal thoughts that they were aware of? now or later....and again, if a person would think - had he ever decided TO share that information publicly - why would ANYONE choose to think/see it as *"defining"* him rather than it being a medical diagnosis that was only a PART of what he experienced in his Life..albeit a devastating one, since it took his Life..but if someone judged him like that, again, it's on them, NOT on Chadwick himself.

There was something about Chadwick, I dont know what it was. He seemed to be the type that would live amongst the poorest people just to help them,or donate millions and not have his name attached. There was something about him. The wisdom when he spoke. I'll be honest, Black Panther wasn't my favorite MCU movie in terms of story, but I admired it for the representation it brought to black culture and the impact it brought and I LOVED T'Challa's character as a whole. I was trying so hard to deny the reality that he actually died for the first few minutes when I saw the notifications go off because it sounded so fake, but then I read it and my heart sank to the floor. He looked so healthy and full of life that I never realized how much he was actually suffering. And the fact that he left so young, it's just...damn. Chadwick such an awesome guy. May he rest in peace.
Edit: Guys, cool it with the mini Civil War your having in this thread. I just stated my basic OPINION that Black Panther wasn't my favorite MCU movie ever, but I adored Chadwick, The characterization of T'Challa, and the influence. I paid tribute to an amazing man, and now it's all an all out war. Everyone entitled to their opinions. All of us are not gonna agree on which MCU movie is the best, but can't we come together to mourn a man who lost his life?
    Peace out.

What a huge inspiration to many. He was an excellent actor, a rising star, I looked forward to seeing him in movies, and I'm not just talking about the Avengers. It's sad we cant see him taking lead roles in the future now. RIP Chadwick Boseman.

Those who have lost family members to cancer knew exactly what Chadwick was suffering with. When cancer sufferers get to that stage, they all have the same look... I lost my younger brother this year to cancer, he was 38.
