Hola!!! I was going through some videos I had uploaded, this one being one I uploaded last summer and never published. I often times switch my routines, right now being a time when my cuticles are dry. I still though always come back to this routine mentioned in this video when I am committed. Currently working on growing the claws out but different shape. I have been obsessed with the almond shape since last summer. If you have any tips, please share them in the comments for others and myself to try. Thank you for all of you support! Have a great work week ☺
Cristine with Holo Taco mentioned in a short the other day that constant mail polish use makes your nails a bit more able to hold polish for longer. My sister doesn’t use it often and when she does it peels quickly. I never have naked nails and I can wear polish for a week easily but I change the polish often. 😊
And you're totally right about nail shape. That's one thing I learned from experience early on--remove any sharp edges on the sides of the tip because otherwise they will magnetize trouble. As soon as I smoothed them down, rounded them, I had no more accidents.
This video was awesome. I learned a lot of tricks. I also love the nail polish you have on. You did a great job of explaining your process of growing out your nails. I really like your nail shape.I appreciate all the info in your description. Thanks so much. You are right. It takes patience.
I agree with pretty much everything you said. I've had my OPI crystal nail file over 5 years and it still works great! Nail oil is important and I try to use it several times a day. And yes, pure acetone dries out the nails. Love your nail shape in this video; it's so elegant! TFS!
Lol thought you cut your hair really looked lovely. I think everyone does have their own mail matrix of how polish reacts. Personally I can oil my nails and then paint straight away but for others they cant. 100% acetone is not good for the nails hence I'm not a big fan of glitters too difficult to get off without so rarely I use. Most importantly just dont use your nails as tools I tell people. Tfs your tips
I agree. Since I stopped using 100% completely it has completely changed my nails. They grow like crazy and look great. I really enjoy Zoya's remove plus....well worth buying the big bottle especially with their sales. Cuticule oils I love are Kbshimmer and got the new Ethereal oil...they were Mystery ones. Surprised me and they are just great.
I don't care for the nub look on my nails I like a sports like length. But at the moment I am having a hard time with my nails because I work in the school kitchen so my hands are constantly being washed and are really dry. Hopefully some of these tips will help
The polish on your nails is so pretty… what is it? 👀 edit: nvm I was too eager. You described it in the video yourself! Sorry 🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️ you inspired me to use OPI Kyoto Pearl again!
I'm team long but my typing gets affected so I try to stay in the active length area. I guess I need to get an OPI file bc the glass ones from Walmart wear down. As far as nail polish removers, the Walmart/Cutex brand is good, and I like the Zoya one but I can't deal with the smell. Tfs!
Normal nail polish I can wear for fourteen days easy. I have to refresh the top coat at least once a week. It's a science. I collected tips from videos and an experienced nail technician in my town. The effect of all the little things accumulate into a situation where I have to put on new nail polish just because it looks ugly due to growing out (14 days later more or less). I could wear it longer. My nails are very thin and bendy. I would write more tips here but there are just too many. I used to not being able to wear polish longer than 3 days. Then I got professional help and half of the things I do are just me copying the behaviour of a superior high quality nail professional in the city centre. I just visited her salon a couple of times. It's a bit unfair but I learned everything from her. Now I can do a 14-days-manicure myself. I thought "If she can do it why the heck can't I?" It's normal nail polish. Seeing a professional work just opened my eyes up - to the possibilities. Now I'm exploring the nail polish world that I gave up frustrated 5 years ago. Seeing the technician work changed everything. I always shied away from the cost but after a promotion I just took the plunge and accepted the cost of the salon - for a while. Now I can do it myself. I sort of paid for this education. ☺️
Your nails in this video are my absolute dream! Unfortunately, unachievable for me. Genetics definitely plays a huge role. My sister has these gorgeous, long, strong-as-a-hoof like nails. She doesn't take care of her nails at all, no oils, lotions, nothing! She isn't a healthy eater and she even smokes (she's also as lucky with her long, beautiful hair). But me.. noooo. I have tiny, short nails that always peel and/or break at a certain level and I do everything you're supposed to do. Not fair, but that's just the way it is.
I noticed that eating more protein as well as using Gold bond’s healing hand cream makes a difference for me. The hand cream contains both urea and jojoba oils ❤
I've been happily using Trader Joe's 100% Jojoba Oil and their Marula Oil on my nails and hands. Love them both but especially the jojoba. I also started taking a B-complex supplement. But I think it's the frequency with which I've been eating salmon in recent years that has made my nails the healthiest they've been in my 70 years, and this has brought me into the nail polish community. I'm enjoying it!

That's an awesome tip. I will share with my sister. Thank you!!
🎉love your haircut...you look so fresh and youthful....love your nails too!

Great tips. My favorite oil is the Sally Hansen Vitamin E oil. I also love Morgan Taylor's Go Ahead and Grow, nail hardener.
Great tips. I’ve been using oils. I will be doing Vaseline at bedtime now.

Yes... lace is more is from essie gel couture. Don't think I mentioned that. Really any sheer pinkie white would work as a base
