North Cornwall coast?!? Hahaha, most often too much or too little wind, but you did get some good sailing in... Thanks for inviting us on your trip.. Warren s/y Legend
Thanks Tom, very kind. I really started to do the videos so that I could look back on by sailing 'adventures' in years to come. I am rubbish at writing things down, so I sort of talk to myself with the camera running. However, as time has gone on I find that I really appreciate the comments I get. This is particularly true after starting to do more and more DIY stuff to get Serenity ready for longer voyages. So, thanks for commenting. It is appreciated, Paul.
Sorry I didn't spend more time there. But I worked in Plymouth a while back and know it well, hence pushing on for Portland. I can see why people can spend several years sailing round the UK - so much to do and see. Maybe I won't stop when I get to Kent...
Well done you've covered quite a distance in the last few days and Its nice that you bring us along with you. We've never been down to that part of the world so its good to get the opinion of some one doing the same kind of sailing that we do as to what places are like. Thanks for sharing, when do you think you'll reach your destination?
Thanks for the comment. The Devon and Cornwall coast is a lovely place to sail. Loads more anchorages I could have explored. I've probably stopped over at places longer than I had originally planned. I've probably got about 5 more stops until I reach Ramsgate if I do 40 mile coast hops. I will then motor over to Sandwich and get Serenity onto the hard. I might do another all-nighter if the conditions are right. I don't think I will stay too long in places like Eastbourne and Brighton as I know them quite well. I would like to be in Kent by mid-May.
It's great, and makes a big difference in comfort. It was a present, but I believe it came from Force 4 chandlery in the UK. It has a strap at the back which I loop over a cleat or winch that holds it in place. Cheers.
I know, I know. I normally pick these things up and put some text in to point out my mistake. Unfortunately this one slipped past and it's not possible to change it once the video is uploaded. And to make things worse, I used to live on that (South) coast. It's a wonder I ever managed to get home after work. Cheers Paul
Thanks for all the videos ,! I really enjoyed them, it's just a shame that you are racing past some of the best cruising waters in the world and you have missed some fantastic harbours and anchorages, let's hope on your way back ,you can visit some of them. Roger aboard Florence May -Torquay
I know. I am not doing this part of the world proper justice at all. The secret of life is timing. I had originally set April as my window for getting from Watchet to Kent. I had assumed that the weather would be grey and awful. Little did I know that we would have one of the best Springs I can remember. There are enough wonderful places that I could spend a week going into little coves between my major stop-offs. I have already gone beyond my original time frame for getting Serenity on the hard in Sandwich. Still, the alternative idea was to put her a a lorry and do a road trip - so glad I didn't do that.

Enjoyed the vids up to now but this one has a lot of "Erms" ( just for fun I counted 70)which spoil it somewhat. If you play it back & listen for them you will see what i mean
You should be in quality control. Unfortunately I managed to contract 'man flu' which, as you know, is a very serious condition. My brain really wasn't working for several days. You might also notice me calling the South Cornwall Coast the North Cornwall Coast at one point - plus a few other word slips. I probably focused too much on cutting out the coughing and let the 'erms' slip through. Thanks for battling through despite the 'erms'.

It was still interesting & i will watch the next one----- from my armchair !!!!!!!!!!
Slightly historic during this trip its raining? Have you heard yourself? If I were polite I'd say you were way too dramatic and your whining is intolerable. Alas I'm not, so I'll just stop here before I give you another reason to make peoples ears bleed

My geography is not great. The sailing has been good, and to be honest even the motoring has been fine with my lovely Beta Marine engine.
Enjoyed the video, you have a nice, down to earth and honest way to present your story. Like your humour.

Thanks - I really enjoyed that. Good to see my home port of Plymouth too. Enjoy the rest of your trip

Good video' thanks for sharing. SeaFeather was going well. I have one on my Rival 32.
The SeaFeather is great. It was quite a big investment, but worth every penny - and so easy to use.

@@verynearlyaboutsailing8114 merci pour votre retour. J'adore ce modèle 🤩👍⛵
South West UK in the sunshine. Warships. What else can a person possibly want? Thanks for uploading :)
Thanks for watching. I'm just being picky expecting the wind to be perfect too.
What is the seat that you have in the cockpit, they look a great idea.

Thanks.
If that's the north Cornwall coastline, you need to check your nav!!!!
