AMAZING buuttttt this is legit a copy & paste from his time at Gucci. I'm happy to see the same aesthetic but I was hoping for a new stylist. This is 90% Alessandro coded and 10% Valentino. The styling was overworked. I wanted to see deconstruction. He ALWAYS has beautiful gowns but it's always paired with too many layers, too much jewelry and head pieces. Let the beautiful beaded and encrusted gowns shine on their own! That's my two cents. 😅 Edit: If you're commenting and disregarding the fact that I'm referring to the stylist and not Alessandro himself, please go away. My comment clearly says "I'm happy to see the same aesthetic..."

Valentino's elegance, class, and sophistication have gone down the toilet. The long-awaited collection transformed into a flea market in the seventies. Valentino and Giancarlo Giammetti must be in deep depression now. The setting was like ghosts at a funeral.

@@HeySaturdaySun you're enchanted? well Im disenchanted. his aesthetic could work better for Valentino than it ever did for Gucci, but he continues trotting out the same styles he did almost ten years ago, the novelty of it wears off pretty quickly. i'll give him more than one season before I call for his head (and I think the resort 2025 look book was more respectable than this show), but clearly he needs to start evolving a bit as a designer.
@@andrewpodolio59 yes, he enchanted me in this show too. See the detail of the fabrics, so beautiful that they come from Valentino's 70s. Only at a superficial glance it may seem similar to Gucci, but that's just the styling. His gaze represents the present, combined with the dreamlike dimension. it is new, although still for fashion consumers as if it were chewngum, it doesn't seem like it. Nobody cares if it enchanted you or not, the numbers speak for AM... and at Gucci AM brought turnover from 3 billion to 10 billion.
@@HeySaturdaySun people are getting tired his schtick, its not just me. If he can do what Heidi did for Celine (bringing his own aesthetic to a brand and fusing it with the brand heritage in an interesting way) I will be more than happy to praise him. But for now Alessandro Michele is essentially using Valentino as a vessel for what should be a brand under his own name. He needs to do better than referencing a few prints and some old logos. But I have hope, there were 11 good looks (in a show of 80+looks) in this show and the resort 2025 had some decent stuff too (in a sea of almost 200 looks lol)
Valentino this is not; was really looking forward to Alessandro putting his magical touch in to Valentino, not a 100% Gucci runway. Very disappointed, if he doesn’t change and find the codes of the house, he destined to failed.

Actually many of the pieces reference 60s and 70s Valentino.

Alessandro gonna Alessandro!
The collection is just awful, all this has already happened in Gucci, people are shocked and disappointed in the end, after Pierpaolo Piccioli, it looks like a mockery of Valentino and I think that both in Gucci and in Valentino, Alessandro Michele will not last long and this needs to be done immediately!

At best, a Copycat.
What a thrill to see this on the feed! Then I had to check twice to confirm that was Valentino. At the end of the show, everything became clear - it Alessandro - not very Valentino.
Are we going to see the same items for the couture shows :-/ 😢
Piccioli era un altro passo.. Linee pulite, eleganti.. Qui c'è un pout pourry di stili... Valentino where are you now?
Dearest Alessandro you have killed my beloved Pierpaolo!!
I felt like we were walking in a funeral percesion! Fire the hair, makeup , and the stylist! Could we get at least one attractive woman with a personality walking down the runway! It's not as bad as i was expecting, but atill not up to Valentino standards

Just go to any thrift store in any major city and you can have it all and more at a fraction of the price.
It’s more of the same Gucci stuff , I’m so disappointed 😢.

Where Is Valentino? I see Gucci in this show.
Gucci’s off seasons discount items with Valentino label.
Love some of the looks, and I have no doubts that each piece when isolated is beautiful, but does it work as a collection for Valentino?
AMAZING buuttttt this is legit a copy & paste from his time at Gucci. I'm happy to see the same aesthetic but I was hoping for a new stylist. This is 90% Alessandro coded and 10% Valentino. The styling was overworked. I wanted to see deconstruction. He ALWAYS has beautiful gowns but it's always paired with too many layers, too much jewelry and head pieces. Let the beautiful beaded and encrusted gowns shine on their own! That's my two cents. 😅
Edit: If you're commenting and disregarding the fact that I'm referring to the stylist and not Alessandro himself, please go away. My comment clearly says "I'm happy to see the same aesthetic..."

Valentino wasn’t about deconstruction you have no idea of the history of this brand.

Is this trying to put the "fun" into "funeral"?
Valentino this is not; was really looking forward to Alessandro putting his magical touch in to Valentino, not a 100% Gucci runway. Very disappointed, if he doesn’t change and find the codes of the house, he destined to failed.
The pieces are beautiful, it's the styling of the models and the show that makes it feel so Gucci.
