It really is like another planet. This fantastic video barely touches the experience on the ground, stones that literally change colour when you take them out of a fissure of volcanic gas and expose them to air; vast plains of black tefra with a spring in it, rivers full of salmon and bears picking them out like choosing fruit at a market stall.
Fantastic! The experience of seeing it from ground level, walking there just shortly before your footage, was … mind blowing! The colours, the wildlife and the indigenous people, the weather, the shockingly cold ocean and the hot, sharp lava are all truly unforgettable.

In our polluted world there are few places were you can smell pure water; i've smelled it myself less than a handful of times. There are many individuals who have never smelled fresh water a single time, because most of our world-wide fresh water sources are polluted. There are few things that smell better than pure fresh water and even some unpolluted freshwater sources won't bless your senses to this gift every time. But boy when you get a good smell of it.... When i see these streams i imagine the smell of freshwater everytime, and in my minds eye i remember the few times i have smelled it and imagine that whoever filmed that video was smelling the same thing - Kamchatka looks so Pristine. I don't know if it's your expert drone footage or those are just the best mountain top/ridge views i have ever seen. I'm sure the air is just as pure as the water and the breezes on top of those peaks must be amazing.
